Thank you! I mean to jump a long distance, because regular jumping is still not enough to cross a cliff. I know rolling after jumping can make it but do not know which to click.

Yeah you need to wait. A lot of that in this game, abilities to clear or remove obstacles are unlocked as you progress in the story.

Thank you again! I guess maybe I choose a wrong star and not have ability to jump long.

The game will explicitly tell you you have gained a new ability. In fact, you'll have to go through "trials" to obtain it. So you are not pressing any wrong button you just can't make long jumps yet.
