Game really needs VR.

hi all! so i started this earlier and have been enjoying it thus far. Unfortunately once i got to the photographers bedroom nothing happens? like the outline for the door just wont appear no matter how long i wait or do anything in the room. i'm not sure if i'm missing something or if the game is bugged? could i get some help please. i have tried reloading and even turning the computer off but nothing seems to work :/ Thank you for your help!...

I've downloaded/uninstalled/redownloaded the game multiple times and when I go to press play, the game goes from preparing to launch, to saying its running and nothing show up, and then it will go back to like it had never launched and I can press play again, only for it to do the exact same thing. Anyone else having this problem? If so, have you fixed it? I have all my drivers updated, I have good enough ram and a good enough processor and I've had steam check and fix any files, but it still won't start...

It's impossible to proceed past this room. The guy comes in and kills you immediately.. you cannot escape as there is no route out of the room. You can't move the boxes, and the door is locked. After he kills you, the game reloads and all you can do is stare at the boxes while you hear the guy banging on the door. It sits doing this forever and never proceeds....

Interested in this, but as an older gamer I cannot spend a long time in front of the PC at one sitting, so I'd love to be able to manually save my progress; even more to re-visit certain areas of the game once finished. I take it this game does NOT have manual saves? Can someone please advise...thanks....
