Was playing for about 30 mins just fine.
That is, until the 4th person joined. This is what triggers the freeze. As soon as a fourth person connects my pc bricks.
Hardware has not changed since I originally played the 40 hours I already have logged.
It couldn't possibly be anything on his end.
Intel Core i9-10900k CPU 3.70GHz, 3696 Mhz, 10 cores, 20 Logical Processors
Nvidia RTX 3070
I posted specs above.
Why would I be? I have never had this game crash my PC one time in over 300 hours. Have you updated your NVidia drivers(now that you posted your specs) recently? If so maybe roll back to the last one that worked for you. If not maybe download the newest one. Did Windows update recently? If so maybe that caused an issue. If it worked before and now there is an issue then obviously something on your system changed because the game did not.
Also, I played it again for two hours with no problems. Then I had the 4th person join, and guess what? The entire system froze as soon as they connected to the game. This is what triggers the freeze. It is repeatable and verified.
I just want to know why the game all of a sudden does this for me.
Had the pre Feb 13th driver at first, tried the latest driver, still freezes. I played the original 40 hours around when the game came out with 0 problems.
So the most recent driver that worked is from a year ago.
I don't play multiplayer but could this be related to an iffy internet connection? Either on the host's connection or the OP's connection? I've had similar happen on iRacing even though I am wired to the router. My ISP was having issues at the time. I would be driving along in a server with 15+ people and all of the sudden my screen would freeze. Eventually the game would kick me out but my PC didn't crash.
