My friend Sam B(Not Sam Barlow, but a friend of his apparently!) mentioned this game to me, so I snagged it and started playing it one night.

10 hours straight my first session. Cancelled plans for the next few days to finish this in a dark, quiet room(the only appropriate way to play).

I would 100% watch each of these films unironically. I'm dumbfounded how the creator was able to create three original film concepts that would all be hits if actually produced.

It's magical, no other word feels appropriate. I was entranced, couldn't stay away, when I wasn't playing it, I was thinking about it, and figuring out how to play again as soon as possible. The acting is top tier, feels so genuine it's easy to get lost in the story.

The philosophical questions raised throughout the films about the nature of life, both from our and their perspective had me sitting back in my chair and contemplating what life would feel like through their eyes.

Not sure if this will be useful to others, but I focused purely on Ambrosio when I started, any clip not from Ambrosio, I would immediately close and go back. Not sure I could have made sense of it otherwise. Only once I had seen everything possible from Ambrosio, did I move on to Minski. Do yourself a favor and learn the controls. While the game does walk you through this, you really need to understand how to rewind and slow down footage to get the full effect.

This review sucks, it's impossible to convey what this game feels like, but the fact is, it MAKES you feel something new. Something no game in recent memory has accomplished.

It's 4 10/10 stories in an engaging framework that really feels like you are discovering meaning that would be imperceivable to anyone, other than the Others and You.

Lots of secrets and hidden meanings to find in this game and shows a darker side of film making behind the scenes. Like Sam Barlow's other games, it was great to try and piece together each of the 3 movies and try to understand it all. Cinematography and acting are really good.

Content warning though as there's some 18+ scenes sprinkled throughout and some are a bit hard to watch if I'm being honest. Aside from that the only real downside once you find/unlock half the clips, the remaining are tedious to find. Even with a guide it was still tedious which is a real shame.

I'd still recommend this for the story and mystery alone.

More of an interactive disjointed movie than a game. It was a novel and fantastic idea, and well executed for what it was, so I have to give a thumbs up just for the premise. However, it wasn't really for me. I don't have the kind of patience required to watch the movie clips and piece them all together. For others, this could really scratch an itch.
