almost recommendable but still way too buggy ~2-hour photography/hidden object-like game. I'd say it has light platforming and puzzling but even that would be an exaggeration. I don't particularly like the looks but it's whatever. the intro and outro are voiced, elsewhere there's just random moans and whatnot. better than constant gibberish for sure, but unfortunately the accursed typewriter effect is present too.

controls are wonky as hell. movement is really slow, no sprinting, can only walk even slower by crouching. auto-grabbing vines to climb is too aggressive, just let me go where I want. both mouse and keyboard work everywhere and controls are rebindable, but another inconvenience is mouse wheel zoom for the camera, barely does anything, must scroll a lot. hotkeys work better and there's no real need for zooming, but the camera randomly going crazy is really annoying. autosaves happen whenever, manual saving anytime is possible, on top optionally on exit. level select unlocks after completion, there are 3 of them.

pretty good settings available anytime, thanks to a bunch of much-needed post-release work. resolutions, windowed mode, v-sync, framerate setting, brightness, contrast, separate volumes, camera sensitivity, invert vertical/horizontal camera and several languages. even a plain-text version of journal entries got added, always nice. what isn't nice is the lack of gfx detail options and the game not shutting up when it's alt+tabbed.

what's even less nice is getting stuck climbing vines, unable to do anything but whistle or bring up the pause menu to quit. and to avoid potentially getting stuck forever, forfeit saving and lose progress because there's only one save slot per game. happened once, then I tried to be more careful but an unstuck button would've been useful.

it also bugged out to the point of alt+f4 in the photo album once, while I was deleting extra images so that the save doesn't take up 200 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mb because every in-game pic is a separate .png file (actually .jpg with an incorrect extension, well done). I could bring the current image up to full screen but no delete, nor back. and more often than not, navigation in the album didn't work, couldn't click tabs on top, only keys worked, or vice versa, or neither. and the cherry on top: deleting a photo in-game doesn't delete the actual file, so my save still ended up at 200 mb. ♥♥♥♥ off.

going back to the menu takes way too long as well, gotta play that animation and show the logo every time. and while they patched in fast-forward (not skip) for the credits, it only works for the kickstarter backer stuff after the main one, which is still unskippable. again, ♥♥♥♥ off.
