The game was supposes to become free to play at some point but devs changee their mind and it will remain pay to play. My ick is they are keeping the free to play monetization model in the game despite the fact that you have to buy the game to play already and the prices of the premium currency is quite expensive too. Star path are FOMO and all so if you dont pay the premium path youll miss out on a lot of cooler items that the free path dont give.

Yeah, dont buy this game unless you enjoy FOMO and macro transaction, a game ran by greed targetting players of games that dont usually have them.

I play this game daily, its fun and relaxing when you have things to do. That said, there are some issues currently not fixed with the game, and I'm not sure all of them will be.
1; Gaps in the terrain showing the skybox under the floor. I get when making things in games, this can be missed, but some of them are just...in your face easily. Rock spot at far left side of Sunlight Plateu leaves visible skybox once mined, the ramp to the side of Cave of Wonders on Eternity Isle hasn't been connected to the main area since release (so over a year now) and the ramp to the first trial in the Hades side of Storybook Vale also has a gap showing the skybox. This last mention also had a bug where you could turn the camera down and view under the ground for a short time on Storybook Vale's release.
2: out of bounds teleport when returning from Eternity Isle/Storybook Vale. This is a rare bug, but sometimes when returning from the DLC areas, you'll find yourself stuck somewhere out of bounds over the sea of the main valley, up in the air, unable to move and everything didn't load in and still shows the villagers from where you had just come from. A little annoying but fortunately not game breaking.
3: random crashes. This one is frankly very frustrating. At random you can crash entering anywhere, Chez Remy, Tiana's Palace, Scrooge's store, Daisy's 'store', your house, villager houses, anywhere you can enter and exit has the chance to just...freeze and crash the game. Its a little less annoying now autosave is every minute but it was disheartening back when autosave was five minutes and you had to hope the autosave had happened just before the crash so you didn't lose a lot of progress.
4: final main Valley character from the story will sometimes have their head vibrate side to side rapidly. Please let this be fixed soon, I'm worried about their neck.

Despite these, and probably other issues I've not encountered, I'll say this. If there is a serious bug that can stop progression, Gameloft are fast in fixing it. When A Rift In Time first came out there was a bug that stopped items needed for a quest from appearing, and while they worked on a fix, they sent everyone with the DLC the required items in the mail. And Storybook Vale had an issue where a flower, also required for a quest, would spawn under the bridge and attempting to collect one if it spawned there would softlock the game, this also got fixed quickly.

For a chill, laid back game, I recommend it, but don't be like me, plan a good item storage from the start. A good item storage will make so much of this game easier all the way through.

I've played this game to give it a chance. I'll still play it here and there but I'm very frustrated that you pay a full-game price and still have to pay for moonstones to complete collections. This is just a money grab pandering to anyone who actually wants to complete the game or get really good dreamsnaps. You do earn moonstones in the game and you can grind but I when I bought this I was hoping for a cozy, animal crossing style game. Which it kind of is but it's very grindy including the quests and spawn rates are terrible. Accessing the inventory is awful unless you're crafting that's it's only saving grace. Clothing items are okay but most of them are recolors and redundant.

On top of that I've learned recently that Disney has taken old items from the moonstone store and split them up even further putting a bigger price tag on each "bundle". It's a shame because it could have been an enjoyable game especially with the star path. Moonstones ruin this game as most people have to pay more money (after paying $30-$50 for each game/dlc) to collect everything and it's costly. Disney is greedy. Spend your money on a different variant.
