we have made the conscious decision to have most monthlies come with a tile limit so everyone has a more or less equal chance for the top of the leaderboard, no matter whether they start on the 1st or 29th.

There might be some monthlies where we will raise the limit though, but we're unlikely to completely unrestrict that.

It came to me as a surprise. Usually, the better that you do in the game, the more tiles that you get. I thought that the counter to 150 was for a quest or an achievement. Limiting the tiles changes the strategy. I will have to retry, now that I understand the rules.

When choosing the monthly mode, is there not a description that mentions this limit? It's something that I think will come up again when future players (like me) start the game. (I really want to try this game, but I'll have to wait until they add more options for the background. The current backgrounds trigger a gag reflex for me.)
