well i heard its somewhat related to sony (publisher of this spiderman game) that spiderman remains trapped on playstation version of marvel's avengers

It was likely a deal made between the original publisher (Square Enix) and Sony to keep the Spider-Man character PlayStation-exclusive. But as Marvel's Avengers had its very last update 2.8 on March 31 (announced to be the very last one), support for the whole game ending on September 30, 2023 and the game now being published by Crystal Dynamics/Embracer Group (not affiliated with Sony, Insomniac or Nixxes anymore) it is extremely unlikely that Spider-Man will ever come to the PC version of Marvel's Avengers. (actually read here: not gonna happen) Btw, also heard that its version of Spider-Man is really not that much fun to play as compared to Spider-Man in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales. So, don't think you're actually missing out on that much + not gonna happen + wrong place thus to really ask honestly.

Yeah, a two-year exclusive period seems right. Also gives Nixxes more than enough time to make a proper PC-version once the patches for the console version have stopped, so they can work from a base that is not gonna change anymore. That way they can really adapt/change the game's code to the PC without having to keep it compatible with the console codebase in case they would have to incorporate changes in console-version patches as there then won't be any haha.

Also, from SteamDB, Remastered's and Miles Morales's Steam pages got in use on November 2021; around 9 months and 12 months respectively before release. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's Steam page came online in February 2022, thus around 17 months before release. Now assuming Nixxes is using the Steam depots/branches to push all their development builds (seems so, see their SteamDB history), it seems like Nixxes takes around 9-17 months to release/develop their PlayStation ports. Thus with these games receiving some patches on consoles around a year after release, taking two years to release the PC versions doesn't seem unreasonable. Plus a PlayStation representative indicated it would often take PlayStation exclusives around 2-3 years to come to PC, thus kinda confirming this.

That's just Sony's rights to Spider-Man, has nothing to do with this developer, sorry man. Also I thought they cut support for Avengers?
