Bug in game...lock to cage

You leave Martha's house and ride to the marsh. After a cut scene, you need to open a cage that holds a shawl....a necessary item. The lock to the cage is bugged. I could not rotate the 3 rings to get the desired pattern. The rings froze and then appeared elsewhere on my screen. Skip this puzzle. Skipping means that you won't get the puzzles achievement....

Black screen with sound and cursor

I can see and move the cursor when starting the game, but the rest of the screen is black. I can also hear the starting intro, so I know it's running, I just can't see anything but the cursor.
