Best decision of purchase

WELL! Okay! Good enough in my book and scratched the itch I guess but I have major criticisms. Read before buying and take into consideration. TL;DR, not much more worth it than buying someone's OnlyFans for the same price, just this is in game form.

I am a gore nut and a masochist and I loved the non-con and the violence in this, in fact I'm usually concerned going into things like this that they're not going to be intense enough. I loved how creative the torture in this was, it really has major shock value, and that's a big part of making things like this for people like me. I've gotta hand it to 'em on that. Derek and Komodo are for sure my faves.

Onto the bad, well... the page is misleading about how equal the routes are. I played Celia and Mason's routes first, anticipating that Derek's would be the most violent (save the best for last and such), and I was right. But Celia and Mason's routes seem incomplete. It's like Derek's route is intended to be the actual game and Celia/Mason are just there to provide illusion of choice and add tension to the initial auction. Their routes are bad, like, really, really bad. So much that I considered just not continuing the game after playing Mason's, whose route I played second. They have their interesting moments but they are largely boring, frustrating routes that you have to look at a guide to have any sense of direction for. I also hated how little intimacy there is between them and the player character. I get that this game has the option to disable sexual content and so it's supposed to stand without it, too, but there can't be that many people who are just here for a non-sexual survival horror VN. Also a VN is a terrible format for survival horror. Mason's route was the most heavy on this gameplay aspect and it sucked, it sucked bad. It wasn't even that intense, just a lot of reloading saves and becoming extremely frustrated with the lack of payoff. Celia has one intimate encounter and Mason has two, one without CG. What!!!

Having said that. Derek's route redeems the game. It's good, really good, to the point where I wonder why they added the other routes in the first place. To which we circle back to: they are seemingly there as accessories to Derek's route, which is bad game design. But meh whatever. The art and backgrounds are also gorgeous and I liked the soundtrack a lot. So yeah, maybe get it at a discount, I got it for around $10 vs. $15.99. Also even when it comes to Derek's route, we needed more Komodo... I wanted to ♥♥♥♥ Komodo and I think it's cruel there is only a single instance of Komodo doing anything like that to the player character. AND I would've liked to see WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEREK TAKES THE PLAYER CHARACTER HOME, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! AND I'd have liked to have seen a more upfront view of Derek's ♥♥♥♥ PLUS I'd have liked to have SEEN ANY MORE OF KOMODO AT ALL THANK YOU!!
