Fan since MP1. Just replayed this game first time in 5 years. Just have to say this game rules so much. Yes the unskippable cutscenes are annoying AF especially on repeat playthroughs, really wish a mod could fix this, but this game is just so classic. At first I thought the plot was just cheesy and stupid and everyone a dumb cartoon character--then I realized it's SUPPOSED to be, and it has a certain style to it. I played MP1 and MP2 to death but MP3 really revamps the engine and the gameplay is so much smoother and realistic, it's a bit hard to go back to those games except for occasional novelty. I wish they'd make a MP4 but realistically I feel like this is the last of a dying breed. I'm not sure if I'll ever enjoy a shooter again as good as MP3. It was the really the best of its kind. I can never see a game combining the style, the mood, the art, the irony, the witty jokes, the gameplay, quite like this again. I've played some smooth shooters but none had the novel shoot dodging and bullet time or any of the mood and atmosphere. RIP Max Payne and thanks to the creators who made this wonderful work of art over an 11 year timespan.
