Where do I use the climbing gear?

I am playing the demo but I can't find where to go

Hey - once you've collected the climbing gear, head back to where you came from. There is an elevator off to the side, about halfway between where you got the climbing gear and where there is the Fleming NPC and save point. You should find the climb spot down the elevator.
