Is it possible to reset trophies in new games?
I've tried deleting the two "persistent" files in both User Data & steamapps, but the trophies are still there. I'm on Windows 10 at present. Can anyone help please?

If you want to play with a fully blank trophy set, you'll need to delete both persistent files *and* game\steam.rpyc to stop it from pulling them down again.

Notes: Deleting game\steam.rpyc will also stop the game from unlocking new achievements. Verifying files will restore game\steam.rpyc, and if the game updates it may also restore game\steam.rpyc. If you really want to play from a blank trophy set and be sure it doesn't regain your old trophies, you may want to back up your persistent file and disable automatic updates.

Thank you.
However I... it... I'm not technical enough to understand fully. I know where to find the "persistent" files, & usually remember to back them up in case things go wobbly; but I don't quite understand the note about deleting game/steam.rpyc. I can find it to do it & I can disable automatic updates.
I don't understand why deleting that folder would stop it from unlocking the achievements again? Does it affect things that I play offline usually?

It can, at least in some circumstances - Steam's offline mode doesn't actually turn off as much as I'd been thinking it did when I wrote the achievement code.

Thanks again. Pity Steam is so bossy. :)
