Regarding your questions around the ending you got Gun-Dog's story ends in approximately the same place although there are different ways to get there and the specifics of the ending can be different. Heading into the portal alongside Cassie after rescuing her is the 'best' ending (give or take what happens before you head to the hangar.
This ending is setting up future titles. Stories from Sol was intended to be an anthology title but Gun-Dog got so big we decided to release it as its own standalone game. We've mapped out future titles and, don't worry, we have plans for both Cassie and the lieutenant!
Thanks again for your positive comments about the game, we're really glad to get this kind of feedback. Please look forward to the upcoming Stories from Sol titles and finding out more.
I'm also curious about what happens if you don't replace the space suit radio batteries, does Dalton do it? If so does that mean you don't have the foam? I also haven't abandoned Hansen yet, I imagine if you let him die he isn't there to help you in the end. I saw in the branches there's a branch that skips like 4/5 of the choices in the top branch which has me curious.
Overall fantastic game though, great characters, amazing music. Got the exact vibes I wanted from the trailers, hyped for any sequels that come out.
