The game has a SEVERE meta progression issue.
I've been playing for an hour and I could get - one gun.
There needs to be a skill tree I am buying from after run number one. Right now it's hurting the game significantly.
If you think people should GIT GUD, people will GIT ANOTHER GAME instead which plays like other survivors-likes.
The tiny rewards keep people playing. The lack of tiny rewards sends people elsewhere.

I personally played about an hour or so and already unlocked about 2-3 guns. Maybe you aren't collecting the cash drops or spending too much re rolling for the cards for your deck.

the problem isnt unlocking guns. its that none of them are enough of an upgrade to feel like theyre actually progressing. the cybernetics arent enough to make up for the lack of weapon options unless im missing something. ive cleared the first mission and still have no better weapon options. im not sure how we are supposed to steadily progress with such limited meta. i hope there are features i havent unlocked yet. if not, this game isnt going to be fun for very long. i need more motivation to grind than just a cybernetic blueprint.

Yeah, and it doesn't get much better from there.

The only weapon i found worthwhile to buy was the Sniper Rifle. And haven't figured out how to upgrade weapons and the few blueprints I have found, don't improve things a lot and you can only have one per category.

I unlocked the 2nd world, after doing the first 3 risks and I'm having buyers remorse. There is literally nothing different from the Next Fest demo and I'm honestly bored of playing it. But I'm at 3 hours, so past the refund mark. I was hoping it would get better by the 2nd world, but its not really feeling like it. Oh well, it was only like $6 CAD after VAT.

"2-3 guns" is not an improvement over 1, it's missing the point. There needs to be lots and lots of little things to buy. The feeling of gradual improvement.
As a player I shouldn't be min-maxing to get the basic level power-ups. I should be falling into them. There are skill trees on the roadmap, but it should NEVER have released to EA without them since it needlessly hurts the game.

It's a real good base for now... but yeah I'm going to shelve it until there's something to do with my money past unlocking all the guns. There's apparently upgrade progression planned? Something like that would go a long, long way towards making me want to push past where I'm stuck currently. At this point I'm just fishing for a good build and I've got other things to play! Not even really a dig, there's just a not a *ton* to do just yet.

Well one thing they could do is to allow pre-improvement to Sodas. So each Soda has a level to it and rarity. Maybe with our hard-earned cash, we could start out specific sodas at a higher base level. Or have the soda always start at a specific rarity. That would really help with progression and making cash feel more worthwhile, rather than just used in mission to reroll Cards.

Hey,

Thanks so much for your feedback! We’re aware of the gaps in meta progression and are actively working on an update that will introduce Enhanced Augments and upgradeable weapon levels. We’ll be adding this to the game soon!

Beyond that, we’re working as fast as possible to bring a lot of new content. In the first major update, there will be a Skill Tree system and weapon customization. We’ll be making a detailed announcement soon to explain how these systems will work, stay tuned for updates!
