This is a strange game. Parts of it feel so incredibly unpolished yet underneath it all there's a glimmer of a game.

For starters, yes. I'd say the game is decent. But once I started playing the game you start to realize how shallow the mechanics are, which is a shame, because if this game as a whole actually had the time put into it more I'd pay more than the $15 I did. My real issue with this and the reason I don't recommend it is that it's pretty clear that the developers are just shoveling out every single 'simulator' they can hoping a content creator picks one up (Let's Game it Out, looking at you) to give it traction so others come and play it for the concept. Go look at the dev here in steam and you'll see what I mean by this.

The problem with this is the same issue I currently have with all of these games. They are all just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ thrown at the wall hoping something sticks and makes them a wad of cash for the absolute bare minimum. This game (And the 'coming soon' DLC which is just more flipped asset cars.) feels like a strange exercise in finding out what the bare minimum for $15 is.

As for the game itself:

It's a fun concept that isn't fully executed. You can buy 'CarFax' but it doesn't make any sense to do so, you either lose the money, or the exact value you spent on the 'CarFax' comes off of the car, which is pointless. You're always better off just bargaining off the base price and not bothering. Being 'scammed' doesn't make much sense either, as you can sell the car just fine as it is with no consequences based off what you paid for it. The selling process feels like a means to an end. There's nothing to spend your money on other than 'more cars to sell'. Sure you can buy a house, but there's nothing in it. Literally, there's nothing in it to interact with other than just a bed.

The Drag races are neat and feel like they could have a lot of potential, but they're boring and repetitive with no real way to tell how hard it is until you go into the race.

There isn't customization other than paint, and wheels. You can only paint the car 1 color, though the cars you buy clearly aren't always that way, so I don't understand why this option is taken from the player.

On the whole, I don't recommend the game. It feels like there is just enough to get $15 out of you but take longer than 2 hours to grasp all the concepts and you realize it's just like every single other asset simulator game that exists now. A bunch of interesting concepts thrown together to make a quick cash grab before moving onto the next simulator game. It so clearly takes little effort other than a neat concept and hoping that a content creator covers it from a free key (Looking at you again, Let's Game it Out.) so it gets a ton of free publicity.

And to the Developers if you read this, you have something really interesting here that would be a great game if you actually put the passion into it. Everything you have can be expanded on and fleshed out to make a really fun experience. Putting more cars behind DLC is disingenuous and petty. It comes across as exactly what it is, an attempt to make more money on a product that took off by putting the bare minimum in and charging for it. And if you want me to hold your hand, here's exactly how you can make this better:

* Clean up the game. Clipping, hitboxes bigger than items, no animations, repeated unoriginal customers, broken animations for every car when driving on some way or another. Polish what you have. Get someone who is a native English speaker to go through everything in your game, it's incredibly clear that you don't have anyone who speaks it even fluently on your team. (You should do this for free)

* Add more cars to the game, as well as more customization for the cars. (Hoods, side skirts, spoilers, bumpers) and polish it. Some cars in the game currently have random assets stuck inside them and this is very easily avoidable in Unity. (This should be done for free and just be part of the game for what you're charging for an asset flip)

* Make use of the Ferry you have. Add more cities, more locations, make certain types of cars more popular in those areas. Let the player have more than one dealership and expand on what it means to run a dealership. Give them more employees besides the random homeless people in the one town. Lean into the actual management of a dealership, of multiple dealerships. (You should charge for this. THIS should be your DLC. Not adding more cars to a game about selling cars.) Add a story, add some sort of motivator for the player. In case you haven't realized, you don't need to make the greatest story of the century. Car games are not known for them, but even a below average story would do wonders for this game.

I don't know why I felt like making this be the longest review I've ever done for a game. It could just be so *amazing* if they put their '30 person team' they tell you about when you go to the main menu EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Into the game that clearly feels like a college project. But maybe I'm just venting my frustration with what games feel like they've all become between Indie and AAA titles now.

Nothing is for passion, everything is for profit. And It's not I that think people shouldn't make money from putting out a product they've worked on. Regardless of how much work they did or how 'invested' they were in it. But when you put a year like 2023 in your title and have your 1.0 Release less than a month before 2025, it doesn't exactly pass the smell test.

The game does not work, does not open on startup.

Great game, especially with the new updates that are coming in. I think this game deserves more attention, but I just play it for a casual play
