Why do people play like this?
Played a game with UK in Ai automatch. Trying to get good with UK, and in this game my teammates went and rushed positions, real fast. Got behind enemy lines, and left me and another guy still building. Would not support us, and kept pushing behind enemy lines grabbing one star and letting our gauge skyrocket to the bottom. Eventually he dropped from game and left us screwed. Then in other games, I notice I'm the only one building fuel caches, while other people capitalize off my fuel making tons of tanks they never even setup. Here I'am still building defenses, and artillery, defending the stars... While they rush in on the base with mass boring tanks. Why do people play like this?

I'm serious hardly anyone I play with even builds a fuel cache. That's like the first thing I do once I can.

the meta of pvp is around rushing and not building. emplacements get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up fast by call in or vehicles

That's Bs none of my fuel caches get touched with a good defense. People wanna rush while capitalizing on the builders. Same crap as society.

Plus it's not 1v1 ppl just don't want to work as a team. Let enemies run into deaths a great way to build momentum and demoralizing.

If it's just boring tank massing how is it fun?

Play automatch with friends
Caches is usually not recommended early into the game. You pay 250 Manpower (the equivalent of 1 mainline infantry squad) to gain EITHER +3 Fuel OR +5 Munition. Meanwhile if you build 1 infantry squad and assert pressure on the map, you can capture a standard point which gives you +3 Fuel AND +5 Munition, and you get to keep using the squad for fighting.

When you rush cache, you are really behind on map and army presence. If the enemy rush your teammate without your support, they will collapse, and eventually the enemy reach your area, you will also collapse.

If you want to build cache, I recommend building it after you have gotten a good army size, your team has captured half the map and the situation has stabilized. Cache is a "bonus", not a start.

+1 means giving up early map control which is fatal in pvp vs rushers.
You dont waste resurses on building ammo or fuel or any other useless positions at the start of the game. Its a waste of resurses like snipers. Speed and fire power is everything at the start. Your up against hordes of Jeeps, pioners with smg's and MG's. You spend your resurses on Inf MG and and as fast as posible Anti tank weapons. If you dont then your a useless noob.

Plays a multiplayer game where you work with a team and says this smooth brain comment:
"Then in other games, I notice I'm the only one building fuel caches, while other people capitalize off my fuel making tons of tanks they never even setup."

l2p
by the way, the very reason your caches weren't ran over was because your teammates actually put up a fight. If each of them built a cache like you, the entire team would be down on army presence and the enemy had way more force on the field than your team could defend.

Also, you build the cache, the team is benefited to build tanks to win. If your contribution leads to your team being stronger and win, what's the complaint about?
Build cache -> team has more fuel and make use of that resources to get ahead and win -> SURPRISE PIKACHU FACE

Just a slight poke really, but I think there's no need to feel bad about it. We can't control how other players play, we try our best. If you like the game to go exactly like you want, the only way is to host a custom game, and specifically make that rule. You can't expect a random person who never met you to know how you want the match to go.
This is why I play Spearhead because I love it when they try to rush and my MG's cuts them down in seconds. If you AREN'T building or being strategic then you are getting kicked out of my lobby. I disregard rushers/zoomers the same way they disregard us tactical players/builders. Hmu if you want to play some time! You'll realize how much better the game is when you actually get to utilize all the tools and assets available to you:steamhappy:
well in my experience some times you get really bad teammates that dont play well and dont know what to do. for that its better to not pick the commander early and see how your teammates play. then you can pick the commander that may help you in that situation. some of them really help you carry the game. for example having a tiger ace and knowing how to play you can help you carry the late game. the rank match is not skill based at all...

Unseen sounds like this bad teamate, lad most likely makes cashes before he has units on the field too.

Don't label me I put effort in my matches to try and be a team player I'm certainly not going to abandon my team on the other side of the map in a glory gain.

As for mgs, first unit I ever make whole game is mg early on. But how you get fuel if you don't make caches?

And if one guys on the other side of the map not supporting anyone. It's not my fault we lost obviously.

Do you know how hard it is to find someone who knows how to be a team player in coh2. So I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :D

"But how you get fuel if you don't make caches?"

By capping and holding my fuel.

My thoughts exactly...
Its a common noob mistake, which is ok, there is a learning curve.

However these kind of players do not learn, and this post is an example.
Instead of learning from his mistakes , he comes here to complain about others who dont do the mistakes he does.

Dear poster , a little tip for you.
This isnt simcity , you get fuel with map control, not by russhing and defending vps.
You win games with resourcres , not with VPs.
Most games are won by the enemie realizing they have no chance and have no res and quitting, not by VP count.

Games won with VPs are very tight and even games where both teams are very even, those are rare, not common.

Rush the Fuel, secure it, then the ammo, then think about capping and making caches behind when you secured a front line.

This is a war game, not simcity.
