funny thing is, skyrim was universally panned for the same reason, the game was too simplified with its perk points and no stats.
I can't speak for Skirim though, maybe that one needs mods to be good
if modern games suck why did baldur's gate 3, mouthwashing, and balatro sweep.
because those (except for balatro) are breaths of fresh air, those are games that return to the root.
this is why Avowed should of waited another year, we got too many S tier games for under 40$ this year.
