Look at the steam reviews. The game is 79% positive.

If you remove the obvious attempts to bomb it by only showing reviews with at least 10 hours played, it rises to 85% positive.

Personally, i think the game is a breath of fresh air. It has an old-school feel to me.

I am having a blast. I would describe it as FPS Diablo or Path of Exile with platforming. It is a formula I didn’t know I wanted. The combat is very fun, weighty and fluid. The lore is told through interesting quests and dialogue, all of which usually have choices to make although not always, or even usually, longstanding ones. Basically if you played an ARPG and want to try one in the 1st person (or 3rd person OtS), you will have fun here I’m certain.. it is very pretty graphically and the world is fun to explore.

If you've played the pillars crpg series then it's really cool. A bit less so if you haven't. 70 dollar price tag hurts but sadly that's probably going to be the norm for big companies now.

Just watch Twitch, you know? From what I've seen the game is 6/10. It's just "mediocre good".
The world is empty. Devs use chests spawned every 20m to capture players attention.
Fighting system is not THAT good as many say. It's mostly like Skyrim. No innovations like KCD2.
Movement- well, a typical Apex Legends movement but in a single player game.
Also, you can watch Asmongold watching comparison Oblivion and Avowed and make decisions yourself.

i played the game and i recommend it but it depends on you budget, steam price is very high you can get it cheaper on game pass.

Well, I didnt say "ignore people who played the game". The whole thing I wrote is just my opinion, you know. And the thread is free for all to give their opinion. So, all in all, to summarize my point of view > go, watch Twitch etc. and make decision.

i personally wouldnt say a 6 outa of 10 is bad tbh

Veilguard was also positive for a long time. People are actually starting to "vote" with their money. If you don't like = don't buy = can't give review on steam. It's not rocket science to figure it out.

The game is kinda shallow, if you really want to try it and are on the fence go for the game pass first

Game sounds decent enoug hthen ill probably nab it when im paid. iwas curious about it.

i like veilguard but for a few aspects of it.. like a specific character companion

I mean, I guess a little milder than ignore. You shouldn’t undermine other opinions until you play it yourself.

It is the best part of the game. Magic is a blast and spells are all extremely fun to use and impactful for the most part for me so far.
