BUGS
  • Game becomes a tiny square window
    A hotfix has been released

  • When PIXELATION is turned off, all objects in the BLOCK GALLERY are still pixelated

  • DESTRUCTION MODE passes trough the menu buttons
    For example, if you click on the BLOCK GALLERY while DESTRUCTION MODE is active, it will open the menu but also delete any object behind the button.

  • When a block is picked with the EYEDROPPER TOOL, or from the BLOCK GALLERY, cycling through blocks will change the category to RANDOM

  • Powerlines and Cables end abruptly and don't connect to the level edges

  • Progress for special blocks is carried over from the demo, but not counted towards the achievements

    QoL:
  • Add CONTROLS menu and allow rebinding keys

  • Add proper Steam Deck support - There seem to be issues with the Controls on Steam Deck and the Cloud saves

  • Add edge scrolling and dedicated buttons for each actions, so that the game could be played with the mouse only.

  • Increase the scrolling speed for the BLOCK GALLERY and MENUS

  • Option for using the mouse wheel to scroll through block categories back and forth

  • Reduce intensity of the white EYEDROPPER overlay, especially during nighttime

+1 to this especially resizing. I'd even be okay with just like brackets to resize smaller or larger like [ for smaller and ] for larger

Game starts as a tiny window - Alt+Enter works, but when clicking on any settings options, it minimizes with no way to go back, have to kill the process.

Do you mean the cables or the poles? I tried it with the powerline and was able to place them on top, in front and behind of each other.

Haven't seen this bug here in the discussions, and I checked almost every post.
Try updating your drivers, reinstalling the game, or delete the settings.json under %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Friedemann\SUMMERHOUSE

If this doesn't help, I would suggest reporting the bug in the discussions tab and give as much detail as you can. I'll then also link to it in my post.

I have a strange bug that I can't place any block with my LMB. I tried to
download the game again. But it didn't work.

Have you tried to delete the settings.json under %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Friedemann\SUMMERHOUSE ?
Does the LMB work in other games? Can you place blocks after creating a new game?
If nothing works, you might want to wait for the dev to respond.

I'm currently finding my feet after this launch (it's so much work if you're a solo dev but looking into all the bugs and suggestions. Might just take me a minute to address them :)

Rotating blocks would be nice and so would smaller changes in a blocks depth when holding shift or some other key.

Also here are some more keybinds:
"i" activates dropper till deactivated with "i" (the on screen button doesn't work)
both option keys activate dropper while held
Left command cycles through blocks
and both "j" and "k" cycle through the maps

A photo mode.

Holding down the Q/R button makes you quickly scroll between layers

After picking an item with eyedropper tool and clicking the right mouse button, keep the changed item within the original items category instead of being randomized. This also goes for when you open the menu for different assets, after placing the chosen asset the next item that appears after right clicking will be random.

Ability to toggle subcategories, like only choosing to scroll within the trees or rock category.

The ability to group items.

Lamps glow in the dark as well. The ability to toggle lights on/off no matter what time of day/weather it is.

A togglable UI element that shows the outline of build area. Since items have different sizes it can give a feeling of unclear feedback. Meaning, a rock will go outside the area (probably because it's placed based of the center pivot?), and a chair will then feel like it can't be placed equally far out.
This is a problem since larger items are frequently used as a foundation. So all of the foundation is build where smaller assets can't be placed. This feels somewhat punishing to move afterwards since there is no group or move asset option.

General content updates with new items, doors/windows that can be placed on a side wall, wooded railings and staircases,water assets(puddles, small waterflows/streams, ), angled rocks,campfires etc
