Blocking the store page regionally is just a formality.
Check allkeyshop and choose whatever shop you want.
And you don't need to use vpn.
I didn't bother to try to circumvent steam's way of blocking vpn logins.
If you get an EU key while you're in EU, it will still activate, regardless how the key is translated after being activated. "region blocking" aka Store Page blocking is just for store page, including reviews.
So far I’ve bought and played God of War Ragnarok and Ghost of Tsushima, I have no problems whatsoever, I can even login to PSN when in-game.
Just like the OP said, the region lock on store is just a formality, the only thing you can’t do as far as I know is access the store page and buy it through Steam and OP said that you can’t review the game (haven’t tried)
What I do is, whenever I want to buy a game from a third-party website I make sure that when I go to the buy page I make sure it says:
I’ve heard that for people from Serbia, Croatia or Bosnia or all of them the key sites said:
If they could activate the key or not in those countries I don’t know.
Maybe try from there the eu version of key, for me weirdly activated as a ROW version on steam, even though I'm in EU, they key was listed as EU in the shop.
So I'm not sure if the keyshops actually have the correct region keys or just steam adjusts the version of it however it wants.
What does steam say to what region the key belongs?
