If you've been enjoying your time inside the mansion, this is the last weekend to spend time in Midnight Murder Club's Open Beta. The beta will be taken down on Wednesday, November 27.

Most Noticeable/High Impact Issues

Some users have experienced crashes when attempting to stream the game with OBS.

Some players will have trouble hearing their teammates on match results.

You will see an incorrect pop-up stating the host exited the game when you are disconnected from a match.

You may not be on the same team as the person you are grouped with.

Players can spawn close to each other in Free For All.

Voice Chat cuts out on the How To Play screen. Voice Chat should recover when users enter the game.
When a group member leaves an active match, the entire group will be removed from the active match.

Gameplay

There are a few issues with spawning.

Hunted will spawn inside each other if they are killed around the same time. This is a visual only issue, and shouldn’t negative impact gameplay.

Players can spawn directly into bear traps, molotov flames and other toys/items.

Molotov VFX can be seen on first floor ceiling if thrower is on the second floor

Second toy can be spawned over the first toy on a toy vendor machine

An eliminated Hunter drops a Molotov that other Hunters cannot pickup

Voice chat can cut out when changing rooms or opening doors.

UI

Control diagrams in game don't reference how to drop an item. Users can drop items by hitting the 123 keys on keyboard or hitting right left and down on the D-Pad for controller.

Rarely, player team UI can be scrambled at the beginning of a match.

Users can move their character while the game is paused.

Compass appears blurry and very hard to read on lower resolutions

Some UI elements are missing on the main menu for group members.

Some player actions/events can still occur while on the match results screen.

The match results score can live update after match has completed

Nameplates above in game characters can be seen on the results screen when a match ends. If the user rotates their camera, they can see their teammate’s nameplate overlap with the match results content.

Currently the UI does not handle or account for ties. In a tie scenario, the player that last got a kill will be declared the winner.

Performance

Some items and locations can cause performance issues on lower spec machines.

Character

There are some visual issues with the shooting animations for both the revolver and the machine gun.

Mansion

Placeholder pedestals appear throughout the mansion. These pedestals do not have collision.

One of the stair room names is not final and is still being determined. This will appear as TBD Stair Room below your compass when in this room.

With a dusty creak, the wooden doors to Wormwood Manor swing open for our first open beta!

Hide, seek, and shoot in the dark with your friends across two of the four game modes that will be available when the game launches later this year:

Free-for-all - Six people enter, only one can emerge victorious. It's every player for themselves in a game of wits and stealth in the mansion's dark hallways.

Head Hunters - Four Hunted players race to find and destroy the totems hidden in the mansion before the two Hunted players can stop them. The only problem: The hunted have night vision and unlimited molotov cocktails at their disposal.
