You are a stationary turret, waves of microbes come at you from all directions, and you'll need to kill them. There is one mode where you move your turret back and forth and shoot up. But most modes are the standard circle. There are a number of weapons combos and you'll upgrade after each wave. Even at the mercy of RNG as to what upgrades you can choose from at the end of each wave, I did not find it difficult to get the weapons I want - but getting the modifiers you want will be up to RNG. You do have the ability to lock 1 item per wave to buy it at the end of next wave, it would be nice if you could lock as many as you want. I like the game, the colors, the music. It's fun.

That said, this game is HARD. You will fail over and over and over and over. And even after you finish all of the upgrades, you'll still have an incredible amount of difficulty completing waves. At 25+ hours in and I'm only at 33% completion. It is unlikely I'll 100% it due to the difficulty.

That said, if you like super difficult games, don't mind dying a lot, and are persistent - give this game a try. Just don't expect it to be easy.

I'm surprised not many people play this game more. I see a lot of achievements still at <5% achievers. It's an okay game for the price.
