Like other similar old collection games or remasters, the extra GB is usually due to the digital gallery, extra media content, and all that pointless behind the dev scene stuff most ppl don't care about.

I care a lot about that. But such a huge filesize could be just a placeholder. It's hard to believe that Konami would release it with that filesize for Switch as well because of how expensive the cardrigdes there are.

Specs are often overestimated.
The game is announced to take 4689mb on Switch, and granted it might be slightly different, I don't think we'll get over 7gb of extra textures or file differences to justify such a big gap between versions.
