Battlezone's Rise of the Black Dogs: Redux
A few years after Battlezone's PC release in 1998, the game received a lesser-known release on the Nintendo 64 complete with an exclusive campaign. Soon it too will be available on the PC.

The Heracles Brigade proudly presents Battlezone 98 Redux: Rise of the Black Dogs.

As of now, the release date for the single player and modders' content is officially set for March 29, 2018! Keep watching this thread for further updates.

Release Date: When it's done =(

Unfortunately we are not able to set a release date at this time. There a couple wrenches still firmly lodged in the gears of the project.

With that in mind..Soon

Looks sweet!
Thank you so much can't wait to relive some of that n64 nostalga. But how will it work, will it be like a series of IA missions on the workshop? Or will I have to go somewhere else to find it?

I imagine they'll post it to the work shop as a full campain. because bz fully supports it. Once thats done it'll show up just like Burn's Rebelion as one full pack.

Preciesly. It'll be in the custom campaign menu. Without giving too much away, we intend to stick as true to the original campaign as possible, but have it more Redux'd than BZ:Redux.

Furthermore, we intend to release it all at once instead of a couple missions at a time.

Thanks, can't wait to pilot the mammoth tank again! Wonder if they will add the mammoth tank to the Black dog arsenal in the last mission, it wouldn't be true to the original but it would be nice and I think the reason it wasn't that way was the limitations of the N64. Someone will most likely make that a mod afterwards so it really would be silly to add. Any chance of the pilot version of the campaigns or arcade mode? I figure it will be released as just the campaign, but the N64 version did have some really neat features! I'm still kinda suprised this wasn't made into dlc for the game. Best of luck making the campaing and good hunting Cobra one!

Our goal is to include as much of the original content as possible, in addition to polishing where it's needed. This includes adding full voice acting to the campaign and including as much of the MP content as makes sense.

As Seqan says, we've given RotBD a little more of a touch-up than BZ98R got; it needs it. Its maps are mostly recycled from the stock NSDF campaign and its story is not in good shape. Aside from fixing both of those, and in our humble opinion bringing the campaign firmly up to standard with the originals, we are also working on adding little details that Crave missed the opportunity for.

Ultimately we hope to port and improve everything, but it won't be all at once.
I remember the black dogs capturing an alien armory during this campaign, after completion of that mission will alien weapons like bolt buddy be avalible or wasp, etc from the armory?

The armory has relevance within the campaign. However, most of that stuff will be story driven. Any further details will become available as we get closer to release.

Can't tell you everything before we release it. That'd spoil the fun of playing through it for yourself! =P
Ok thank's for the info, once done is your team thinking of other custom campaigns to create? I always wanted to play as the CCA fighting the CRA on Elysium. Agian thank you for your hard work bringing back my childhood!
