Hello!

We have just released another update. We call it Patch 2.1

The changes are:

Graphics:

- Added new priest and zombie animations.
- Added player's hands animation to show melee, health status, etc.
- Added new enemy model versions.

Performance:

- More performance fixes.

Gameplay:

- Added objective indicator for improved navigation.
- Added new screen for game over.

Sound:

- Added new sounds.

We keep working on new updates so expect them soon. It's going to be awesome!

Dear Players,

We are happy to inform you that a second big update has just landed – there is a lot of improvements and bug fixes along with some gameplay changes. We hope you will like what we have prepared for you! Please enjoy the improved Inner Chains!

Gameplay:
- Melee tutorial added in Chapter 1.
- Removed a bug that let the players get a weapon in Chapter 1.
- Removed a bug that made the weapon disappear.
- Players receive „the gift” in the beginning of Chapter 1.
- Head Bobbing can now be disabled.
- Improved collision detection.
- Sound effects fixes and additions.

Story:
- Narration added for Chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- Narration added for the monument scene.
- All new narration has been translated to every available language.
- Improved the achievement system.

Performance:
- Improved optimization.
- Improved streaming.
- Players can no longer skip checkpoints.
- Support for AMD chipsets.

Graphics:
- Improved lightning.
- Support for more resolutions, especially for 21:9 monitors, in the menu.
- FOV can now be adjusted.

Of course, that is not the end of updates. Currently, we are working on even better optimization for the whole game, more bug fixing, more gameplay improvements and an option to change the key bindings!

Dear Players,

It's been some time since we shared the news with you. We are aware we promised that a new patch is going to be released this week - however, based on your feedback, we decided to record new lector voiceovers for introductions to the chapters, which required additional time on our side. We also managed to find a solution to the problems with AMD processors.

Additionally, we implemented the FOV slider, one of your most popular requests. You can now also switch the bobblehead effect on and off, as well as play Inner Chains properly on ultrapanoramic screens. The final thing we need to do before the next update gets published is the key rebindings option, as we didn't put it now.

That should not take us more than a few more days, so hopefully, you will be able to play updated Inner Chains next week!

Dear Players,

Linux was our first goal after the release but fixing the game has become a priority since then. Technical issues and feedback from the community are the main focus at this moment and we are working around the clock in order to make Inner Chains meet your expectations. Only then we can work on the Linux version - it will mean that it is free of all the issues that current version has. We are sorry for this situation and we promise we remember about all of you who asked for Linux version - it will be delivered. It is just a lot of work for our small team and we want to be as thorough as possible - this means taking one step at a time.

Dear Players,

After a few days of intensive work, we are ready to introduce the first patch for Inner Chains. We have listened to all the feedback from you and tried to fix as much as possible in this first update. It doesn't mean we're finished – we will continue working on improvements and definitely want to hear more of your feedback so please do not hesitate to share your suggestions or issues with us.

If Steam doesn't start the update automatically, please make sure to restart the application.

The improvements are:

Graphics

-V-Sync ON/OFF settings added.
-Antialiasing ON/OFF settings added.
-Motion blur ON/OFF settings added.
-Grain ON/OFF settings added.
-Chromatic aberration ON/OFF settings added.
-Medium graphics settings preset added.

Sound

-New sound effects added.

Controls

-Camera sensitivity settings added for mouse and gamepad.
-Camera invert settings added for mouse and gamepad.

Gameplay

-Melee tutorial added in Chapter II.
-Zombie speed movement is increased by 20% now.
-Enemies' reaction range is now increased.
-Enemies are now paralyzed for a shorter time period after being hit by electro gun.
-Electro gun now needs less time until you can shoot it again.
-The Boss fight now starts automatically after some time if the player doesn't attack.
-The Boss fight cannot be avoided anymore but it is slightly easier.

Various

-You can now skip the Intro.

We are currently working on the option to disable head bob and menu localizations - you can expect those changes soon as really small updates to the game being downloaded by Steam.

Next big patches will bring more gameplay changes and AI improvements but we need some time to prepare those. Telepaths' Tree is a small studio with less than 10 people on deck and we are working constantly to make Inner Chains better - all we need from you is a little more patience. By the way - all saves should work with the newest version of the game. If they don't, restart the current chapter or send us your save file and we will repair it for you.

In order to make the first patch as effective as possible, we have decided to postpone it a few days. This means more polish and fixes! We know you are eager to see all those improvements but we have to ask you to be just a little more patient.
