I'm not the first to post this, but since it still hasn't been addressed I guess I'll post it again. If you lose a single mission during a campaign you get a crippled commander. All their ships never go above 75% hp and they lose other powers as well. The game warns you "That commander is crippled, maybe pick a different one" if you attempt to use one. But...if that's your ONLY commander then you are forced to play that way. And since you can't give them a rest my understanding is they don't recover....

Normally you get them through missions and about 2 per campaign. when i had 2 left only one appeared during the whole campaign and now i cant find any more cards on the map and i have already played 2 more campaigns

So I'm a big rouge like fan, and failing and recovering are a good part of the game IMHO However, the penalty for a failed mission is too harsh - right now if u fail a mission, you WILL lose the campaign. Not immediately, but 1-2 missions after, even if they are victories. I won my first 4 missions, lost one, and then suddenly two sectors are at 3 ships and one sector is at 1. Ok not so bad I think... I play the next mission, total success, destroy two ships in one sector, AI places two more. Now I still...
