Game not launching. (HELP IM LOSING MY MIND)
Whenever I press play, I see the Motion Twin logo briefly, and then the game closes.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
Verifying the integrity of the game files.
Completely deleting all Dead Cells folders from my PC and reinstalling.
Enabling and disabling the Steam overlay.
Reinstalling the game on different drives.
Updating Windows.
Checking and updating graphics drivers.
Rebooted multiple times.
Tried different launch options.
Unplugged unnecessary USB hardware.

I also don't have any workshop mods installed. The game worked fine previously and I have around 24 hours of playtime on it and my hardware hasn't changed since then. Despite all of this, the game still won’t launch. I’m out of ideas on what to do next—please help 😭

The game worked fine previously

The game got its (probably) final update a couple months after you stopped playing.

Have you tried making exceptions in whatever useless "antivirus software" you might be using?

Have you tried turning off Windows' useless BS called "game bar" and "fullscreen optimizations"?

Have you tried throwing Windows in the garbage where it belongs and using a Linux distro (such as Mint)?
