The A.I is so bad the game is unplayable, devoid of any fun on the campaign mode, they will never expand, attack or make any logical decisions. The original title honestly had better A.I. Only worth buying if you intend to play with mods.

UI is okay, scaling for modern screens is finally fixed. Some crashes when iterating troops or cities, though.
And double click to run works only two thrirds the time: sound is played, but effect sometimes missing for whole battles.

Positive aspects:
The graphic is enhanced and it feels much smoother and up to date.
You have some new features like changing followers of a general or merchants. It also shows which building is decreasing stability of a province due to cultural difference.
The AI Factions in campaign act different, so i can not always tell, what they wil do next. In classic rome it was always the same.

negative aspects:
In the german version the voice of merchants are completely horrible like it would be better if they were silent.
AI on the battlefield is sometimes completely stupid, making the game unplayable. When you are sieging and the enemy tries to break out, they are sometimes stuck on a side gate and not moving there.

Dogs still dissappear when chasing enemies out of the battlefield. In classic rome they sometimes came back at least.
Sometimes, your phalanx just moves without any command or in city fights they look to the wrong directions. Same bugs as in classic version. Horrible that they did not fix this. You just lose fights because of this.
If you did a formation like Phalanx in front, archers in the back row and cavalry on the sides/flanks and you select all to move forward, they sometime sbreak the formation, making you vulnerable for no reason.
You always need to use CTRL + Leftclick to move, which is annoying.

I could complain about the UI but honestly it just feels like the spirit of the devs wasn't in it at this point. So much more could've been done with this remaster and it's a tremendously wasted opportunity.
