Is 1.5X frame generation impossible?
Hey, I love the software and have been using it on Dark Souls and Elden Ring games for that smooth 120FPS feel and now I can't play these games without it.

But I've been wondering why is the minimum frame generation multiplayer at X2?
Is 1.5X impossible? That way a generated frame would happen every 2 rendered frames.

I'm asking this because I play on an LG C4 TV that has G-Sync to 120hz, and my GPU is already fast enough to render some ray tracing games at already 80-100 FPS, so doubling that would exceed my 120hz, maybe a 1.5x would be better.

I'm not much knowledgeable with these technologies so this might come across as an ignorant question but this is genuine curiosity.
Thanks in advance, have a good one.

No a computer cant generate half a frame and then fill it in that would cause ungodly amounts of screen tearing if it was even possible in the first place.

No, that's not at all what I had in mind. I was suggesting one frame generated every 2 rendered frames. Not generating half a screen, even I agree that would be impossible without problems.

So this idea im not 100% knowledgeable on but basically the issue with generating a frame every 2 frames is the pacing of the frames wouldn’t be consistent because the timing between the 2 frames before the generated one is too erratic ie not the exact same to make the generated one look smooth. This is a very basic explanation but its somewhat accurate.
