Linebattle Commands
Hey guys,

In line battles, understanding and following commands to the letter is essential to prevent chaos. At Qubez' request I have composed a collection of basic commands. We all should know them and practise them as a group, so we will be efficient in line battles.
I may have forgotten some commands, so this list may be extended in the future.

cheers,

Pahadron

Event rule abbreviations

FIC = Fire in charge
RIC = Reload in charge
Off aim = Officer aiming ( OA )

Event commands

Column on ...: Make a column behind the assigned person, normally Qubez, but this may also be a NCO (if he is dead)

Make line on left/right: line up next to the officer facing the direction the officer looks.

Wheel left/right:: Officer repositions slightly while standing still (just facing a new direction) either left or right. Line wheels back next to the officer.

Turn your side towards the enemy while reloading: Gives the enemy a smaller target. Creates gaps in the line between the soldiers.

Strafe: Move rapidly away in a specific direction.

Address line: Fill out the gaps in the line and make the line straight.

Left/right face: turn your character 90 degrees in the direction that was called

About face: turn your character 180 degrees

Moving out: Break any reloading you do (right mouse click) and move out. line follows the lead soldier in line; either the officer, or an NCO

Halt/stop: line stops moving

Advance: As a line, all move forward at the same speed.

Wing on right/left: From column start moving towards the side of the commanding officer.

Ripple advance: as a line, move forward in a wave

Present: Switch to first person view and aim at a target. Do not fire

Fire: Fire your weapon. This will generally follow 2 seconds after the "Present" command. Always reload directly after firing

Fire at will: keep on reloading and firing at the target until another command is received

Ripple fire from left/right: Fire in a "wave" from the left or right

Reverse column: At "GO" you turn 180 degrees and follow the person that was originally behind you

Rapid reformation: At "GO" the officer stands still, the soldiers in column behind him rearange into a line by alternatingly positioning left and right of the officer. The officer will move out of the line. The last in line will take the middle spot that originally belonged to the officer.

Agressive reformation: Like rapid reformation but upon entering the line, you will aim at the target and fire

Charge: Run to the target in melee. One does not have to maintain a line here. One shot is often allowed at close range. Do not reload your weapon.
