Relaunch Soon™

When we first conceptualized Asylum, we had a very defined list of goals. They were:

1. Provide a professional environment.
   
2. Provide a fun experience.
   
3. Make every player feel like they belong.

Over the years that Asylum was up, staff came and went. The goals that we had originally lived by, had long faded away and been forgotten. Many individuals who had proven to be consistently unprofessional made it up the ranks. Individuals who had no business being in a leadership role, found themselves to be at one. I myself (Xeviax) had changed (for better and worse) and grew complacent with the standard.

With this relaunch, I want to reestablish the original goals that have long been forgotten.

Asylum's relaunch is scheduled within the next two weeks.

Gamemodes:
New Gamemode
We will be launching with a new RPG styled gamemode that is currently in development. The current launch locations for this gamemode are scheduled for:

• US West
  
• Germany

DarkRP & ZombieRP
While I know many of you love DarkRP and ZombieRP, we currently have no plans of relaunching those servers. If you are a fan of DarkRP or ZombieRP, a fantastic alternative to Asylum can be found at Superior Servers.

Game Administrators
While the roles of Administrators are no longer what they used to be, We will be needing them. You will be able to apply in the next few days through the new portal on our website, AsylumCentral.com. There will be an option to mark your previously held rank before Asylum originally closed. An announcement will be made when administration applications are open.


How we are fixing previous issues:
These are notable issues that we have had complaints about before.

Abusive Admins:
All admin actions (including non-admin related functions) are uniquely recorded and placed in permanent files. When a report is filed, that admin will be investigated by both non-administrative individuals as well as higher ranking admins.

Server Updates
Server updates will no longer be performed live unless emergency maintenance is required. Updates will now take place during scheduled downtime.

Politics in Promotions
Admins are no longer voted upon, and promotions/applications are now private. When it is determined that a position has opened up, all individuals requesting a promotion are privately investigated to see who best meets the demands of the position.

Politics in Administration
Professionalism is the name of the game. Individuals will be removed without hesitation if they are found to be an someone who creates problems.
