THE GREAT METROIDVANIA RENAISSANCE

Recently there's been a boom in the number of Metroidvania Style games being developed and released - A Metroidvania Renaissance if you will.

As an avid fan of these kinds of games, I've made it my goal to play all of the ones available on Steam and review them. I hope to provide a springboard for other fans of this genre to find and try new games.

Welcome Metroidvania fans. Let's enjoy eachother's company as we talk about this genre that has become so rich with great experiences.

Due to low activity, the decision was made to shut down metroidvaniareview.com. The website is still available in the internet archive if you are interested in reading the old articles.

The Metroidvania Review curator has no cost associated with it, and we will be posting reviews to it for the foreseeable future.

i feel ya. im akll about the retro pixels, sprites are right. get gone polygons i dont like your kind. 3d get away from me. im a 2d metroidvania fiend. once it went 3d i pretty much lost intrest. fps games... more like wtf games... idk
