Hey everyone. I know a few of us have been talking about it. The September LanOC event is the 11th and 12th. Who all is interested in going up this time. We need to start making plans..Let's get the ball rolling..

Ideas to kick it off......

1) 2 vehicles this time. (Matt mentioned maybe Brock coming to his place in C-bus and them riding up together)

2) Possibly going up Friday night so we will already be there fully rested for the early bird stuff and know we are not in a rush

3) Could all chip in and go snack/beverage shopping at a local store i.e wally world or something like that when we arrive Friday..if we do that

4) Just a thought...take it or leave it haha...maybe get some t-shirts made up for our crew for the event so we are noticed as a group.

Ever since Attic Inc. has hosted game servers, it has been nice to log into the included voice server and chat with fellow friends. Since said game servers have been taken down, there hasn't been a "perfect" solution to this social need. I know of a few vent servers we have hosted ourselves, even myself trying to host with a processor that had a stuttering problem ;-) . While those were noble efforts, we were still limited to 8 users and possible bandwidth issues.



Today, that has changed. Enter the world of Mohawk Voice Servers. With a simple interface, Mohawk is able to keep system resource needs to a minimum. This is great news to gamers with older hardware and need every ounce of juice! This also means that Mohawk's license fees are incredibly low. I was able to sign up for a 20 slot server at $0.15 a slot! That is a monthly fee of $3!

Head on over to Mohawks website and download the small client to get used to it. I have a feeling it will be a part of everday life for some of us, lol! Also, be on the lookout for changes coming to the Mohawk server in the next couple weeks. We could be doubling user size and that equals more gaming goodness!
