House of the Black Oak [tree] is a casually competitive guild, focussed on SPvP/Tournaments and dungeons. Our “casual competitive” attitude means we have the utmost respect for your real life, not just your in-game persona. We seat a total of 50 members from all parts of the world and walks of life. This means we’re a smaller, private guild which relishes our members’ contributions and skills. Because we maintain a smaller group of players, we also foster a more community-oriented playstyle and team environment than many of the other guilds.

We are LGBT and international friendly.

We have moved to Desolation [EU]

Due to server population drops, we've moved to Desolation. We will try this for a few weeks to see how the PvE server population is.

Desolation reportedly has a high-population of English speaking players, and has not seen any population drops from the WoW expansion. We're not concerned about WvW performance because, when ArenaNet activates the WvW match-making system, the WvW match-maker will pair servers of similar population together and the high/low loss extremes we've been seeing will disappear.

Next time you log in, please join us on Desolation. We'll begin active recruitment in a few more days after we agree that we want to stay on Desolation.
