1. In order to trade without escrow hold, you will need a Steam Mobile Authenticator attached to your account, with Confirmation of Trades also enabled. If you don't have both of these, all your trades will be held for escrow -- which means the items can be held for upto a week (usually 3 days) and if you cancel the hold, you can't trade for several days.

2. If you have the Steam Mobile Authenticator linked and Trade Confirmations enabled, your trades will never be put into escrow.


If you don't have a device capable of using the mobile authenticator, you can still use a desktop application that scrap.tf made, called the Steam Desktop Authenticator.[github.com] Using this will allow you to trade escrow-free.

Trust us, we hate this as much as you do -- but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it.
