Hey all, Calobrin here.
Not sure how active this group is anymore, but we still have 600~ members so I assume this should garner some attention. And even if not, this is still something that needs to be said.

It has been a very long ride with Hades' Underworld. 5 years roughly
(Founded in 2014, and I have been here since the start, ironic how I will be the one to actually end it with this statement)
We have seen a lot of people come and go, and the server itself has died off and resurrected several times over. But this is the final time.

The current server will expire on October 25'th (2019 obviously)
And once this happens, there will not be another revival of the server.
Why is this you might be asking? Everyone has their own reasons, and as such I will list what I believe to be accurate for each staff member.

1. Jim
   He has long since stated (even back when the first time we revived Hades) that he no longer has any interest in TF2, nor does he have the time to devote to it either. IIRC, he even sold all/most of his items and moved on.
   Since he no longer has the time or interest in TF2, constantly asking him to do this or that, or to keep the server alive seems silly.
   
2. Nights
   He has left the building some time ago, I believe they are far too busy with life and I haven't really seen them in the longest time. While they are listed as Admin on the steam group, they had left the Discord server a long time ago and on a RARE blue moon has been seen in TF2, even rarer than Jim showing up.
   
3. KouRyuu
   He has stated and requested to be removed from Admin of Hades. To retire and step down from their moderating position. Though they followed up with waiting and seeing how things will be going, he has also expressed his lacking interest in TF2 all together, only popping on now and again to say hello and to check on things.
   
4. Calobrin
   While Jim is still owner, and the one who got the server up and running. I was head management of the server for a while now. I was essentially in charge while I still answered to Jim. Therefore I was the one who basically requested the revival of Hades over and over. I however, am moving on. I will not get into it here but I will be semi-stepping down as Admin. I have been here pretty much longer than anyone at this point. And I think it is time I move on from Hades. Because of this, there won't be anyone left here to want to bring Hades back up again. And if that is the case, this is it.
   
5. Mama-Yeen
   Though only being a moderator for a little over a year, she will be moving on from Hades and basically following wherever I go. If I had decided to remain, then she would too. It is kind of a two for one package really.

So there you have it. Because of this, there will not be any staff remaining that actively want to return Hades, or any staff that will be here at all.
Since I was the main reason it came back, I won't really be putting much more attention and time into this group anymore.

I want to give an extended special thank you. To you, to everyone that made this group such a wonderful experience from start to finish.

A long trip of 5 years... It has been a wild ride. We have seen a lot happen here, lots of fond memories I am sure you all share just as much as I do. Though not all of it was good, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

A special thank you to all the Regulars, Donators and VIP Donors out there for all the years on Hades. From the first donor/vip (Duff) to the last.
It was really you guys that made this server and community group what it was.

The people who played on this server all the time even after all these years. Logging on to idle about in Hades and goof off and have a lot of fun. The people who kept coming back again and again.
You guys took it an extra step and actually donated items or keys to the server. You showed your love and appreciation to this group by donating it. Thank you very much
You all went even further. Either a donation of an Unusual, Buds, or the 12 keys asking price much later on. There are so many of you, and it shows how much this group meant to you guys to have donated so much.

I will not make it out to seem that any of you, depending on if you are a member, or a VIP are any lesser. You are all still the lifeblood of this server and without any of you guys here, this server would not have gone very far.

I think that wraps this one up. As for the Discord Server? I am honestly not sure what will happen to that. I may be copying this whole announcement and slapping it in there just because it is easier. But it may still remain even after the server closes. Though as it is now, it is very quiet over there.



But one last time. Thank you all very much for the time you devoted to this community and server. Thank you for all the memories I and many others will cherish and remember fondly.

And thank you Jim! For keeping this server going even after the original founders and owners left. Thank you for everything you have done for this community. You have my utmost respect.

Y'all still play TF2, right? If so, Hades is back again, isn't that exciting? It's in the EU again atm, since that's basically free for me, so pings may vary.

Everything should be as you left it, although some preferences might need setting again. Any perks you had before should be intact, and can be sorted out if not. Map rotation, models, sounds etc should all be as before.

Just letting everyone know that I took the time (about rounding out to 3 hours of work) to go through Sourcebans and make a list of people to be unbanned or ungagged/muted and have just went and done so.. Mass ban pardons! Yay!

There is about 40-60 or so people who have either been unbanned or ungagged

Take this as an opportunity to have a second chance on Hades. Since we are back and better then ever, it is only right to turn over a new leaf and give *mostly* everyone a second chance. There are some who I decided to skip or ignore, they were either known cheaters or people with bad history with us.

I will not be posting the names of those who were unbanned because it isn't necesary. If you try to rejoin Hades and seem unable or are seemingly still banned you are welcome to make a ban appeal and I will personally look into it for you and get back with an answer as soon as I can.

I hope we all get to have fun on Hades again and to truly make it the best server on TF2!
