My group discussing Reviews and other stuff

So, I know second blog post today but I wanted to start some discussion on some good deals today going on Steam. Every single day during the Winter Sale, the Highlighted Deals will be changing on the Steam Frontpage and well I will try my best to give my thoughts on those games that are on the sale and whether is it a good deal. I will also be asking people in the comments to post thoughts, so feel free to share thoughts on today's highlighted deals or even other games you wanna suggest to people.

Without further ado let's go through some of today's main Highlighted deals that I recommend. Prices will be in Euros, US Dollars and British Pounds:

Age of Empires II HD - 4,99€; 3.74£; 4,99$ 75%

One of my favorite childhood games, if you really love RTS this is the GAME to have. The HD version which came out in 2013 has revamped the Graphics and Performance bringing it to Modern Systems and it is still being updated to this day. The Multiplayer scene is still very strong so it is a great time to get into it. The First expansion is also 75% off, however the other two expansions are only 67% and 50% and aren't necessary for playing Multiplayer, so consider if you want them for the Single Player Experience - Must Buy.

Total War Franchise (I recommend Rome, Empire and Medieval II) - All 75%

The Total War Franchise is another fun Strategy Game Franchise. It had some rough patches the last couple of years (buggy messes such as the Rome II release and mixed reviews on Total War Attila) but it seems to have picked up with the move to covering the Warhammer Universe. Personally I would like to see a return to our Universe in the future and the games I recommend here are all classics of its period. I would have added Napoleon and Shogun II but I haven't played enough of the first and haven't played the later yet. Seems to be excellent deals for 75% off.

And finally we end with another Strategy Game in Europa Universalis IV 75% - 9,99€; 8,74£; 9,99$

This one is a bit of a mixed recommendation. EU IV is not a game for everyone. Personally I enjoy it a lot however do keep in mind it has a lot of DLC (with more coming out every 3-4 months or so). The Base Game is still enjoyable but you will lack some features that honestly should have been present there. Still if you like History and enjoy Grand Strategy Games I can't gush over this game enough. It does things really well and simulates Empire Management the best if you haven't seen. However for those that wanna avoid massive DLC splunging the previous version Europa Universalis III is also on sale so be sure to check it out.

The other Highlighted Deals I really haven't got around to play yet. I do say Watch Dogs 2 looks tasty with a 66% discount however if the base price were to come down it would be a very good purchase. The Base game is at the same discount range but it had some really bad problems at launch that I honestly feel it is better to wait for a 6-7€ price tag.
