Although a bit expensive for my taste, Dig with Friends is actually better than I thought it would be. It's basically the "campaign" in co-op. Every night you get attacked by waves of monsters while you try to collect enough portal pieces to finish the level, more or less like in the single-player mode. Then there's the Creative mode, which allows you to just build whatever you want, if you're into that sort of thing.

What I didn't like was the ending of the Survival mode. There is none. You get a scoreboard and that's it. No final boss, no loot to take back to your homeworld.

All in all, if you like the game as much as I do, then Dig with Friends is a welcome addition. If you're still on the fence about it, then you should wait for a sale.

Let's get it out of the way first. Alien Shooter TD does very little to change the formula when it comes down to the Tower Defense genre.

The biggest change is that the towers are replaced with soldiers from 7 classes, using from the basic shotguns and machineguns, to huge energy cannons and flame/ice throwers, which can be upgraded with up to 6 passive skills, equipped with up to 3 weapons each, and the weapons themselves can be upgraded as well. The weapon upgrades are just stat improvements, and the soldiers' include (among others and stats) explosive shots (which they use automatically), so there's nothing mind blowing.

Alien Shooter TD includes 4 difficulty levels, and the main differences are the amount of enemies, the composition of the waves and the health they have. Those, plus the usual Survival maps, bring it up to 35 regular levels, and the promise of more to come.

People have been complaining about the reload mechanic, because yes, soldiers require ammo to shoot in Alien Shooter TD, and that costs money. Especially at the beginning of a level, you will often have to decide between reloading your soldier's weapon, buying a better weapon or getting another soldier. With patch 1.3 the devs included an option to auto-reload, as well as other nifty ones, like ordering a soldier to hold fire.

It does have some problems, like soldiers trying to shoot even though they can't actually hit anything from that angle, except the wall right next to them, the enemies sometimes get lost on the map and you have to wait for them to get back on track, and the game itself managed to crash twice in the hours of gameplay I spent so far.

After all that, Alien Shooter TD does nothing to draw into the Tower Defense genre if you're not already a fan, but if you are a fan of TD and of the Alien Shooter series, then Alien Shooter TD gives you the chance to slay hordes upon hordes of familiar enemies, all while you listen to the same epic soundtrack from previous games, at a more than fair price. Too bad you can't buy the OST...

Going back to the classics was a good idea. Very few things can be said about a Worms game when it's done right.

WMD keeps the formula that made Worms Armageddon great, and adds crafting and vehicles. The only things missing is the map editor, some weapons, but overall it adds more than it removed.

The price may be a bit high, being the most expensive game in the series, but a true fan or new players will find Worms WMD to be the most advanced one.

With a chaotic multiplayer for up to 6 teams and 8 worms in each, it still doesn't add cross-platform multiplayer for Windows, Linux and Mac users, yet.

Don't buy it from Steam. Stripped down version of the original. Barely half the game since campaigns are missing, only leaving the base campaign. Multiplayer is hard to use but since I didnt get it for the multiplayer I can't really complain about that.

Get it from GOG. Cheaper and it has all the expansions and you can easily find and download an HD mod which was created by the community FOR FREE!
I'm done buying HD remakes until I see a review...

+ Even better gameplay
+ I'd buy the soundtrack but I can't. (I hate DLCs but I'd buy it hands down)
+ Replayability in the form of both unlockable additional gameplay modes and 2 different storylines.
+ For such an intense action game, stealth is actually pretty good. I've played stealth games that weren't as good.

Cons:
- Final battle. (Sort of)
- Feeling depressed after endgame cutscene.

Do you recommend this game? Need button to send you to store and automatically buy you the game. GOTY 2014 and I don't care what anyone else says!!!

2016 and it's still one of the best first person shooters ever made!!!

I've never given a 10/10 for a game and I don't intend to start now so this one deserves a solid 9/10.

It had only a few minor stability issues but other than that it's damn near close to a perfect game. Too bad the multiplayer is dead because the single player story takes it high up on my top 10 best games I ever played.

Graphics and sound are great.
Gameplay works just as the developers intended.
Lots of collectibles that reward you with lore, gallery images, models and pretty much everything is rewarding enough.
Took me 20 hours to see and collect just about everything the game has to offer. It would probably take half that time to complete it without being as thorough as I've been, and the game lets you free roam after the story is done.
Couldn't ask for anything more but I could have asked for something less. DLCs.
The Tombs were a bit disappointing. They are not as challenging or as long as I would have hoped. The Tomb of the Lost Adventurer DLC took me less than 5 minutes to complete and that says it all.
Still, I recommend this title without any reservations and even if the DLCs are sort of bad, for a AAA title that offers so much and got -80% offers you should really get the GOTY edition. No reason not to.

Painkiller and Serious Sam had a drunken threesome with a random stranger picked up at a bar and this popped up looking like both with a dash of "I wonder who that was".

Bought the game to play it co-op with a friend. What do you get when you add Steam to Uplay and weird DRMs? An unplayable co-op game. Think I would've fixed it faster if I pirated the game instead.
