objectively a ♥♥♥♥ game but not as bad as people say

certainly one of the halo games of all time

quickest and most effective way to either outright end or at the very least ruin a friendship. not sure why the game tries to market itself as some kind of strategy game though

one of the all time greats!

the most unfulfilling ending for a game which i have encountered in a long time, especially in a game with such a rich and deep storytelling experience, and for a game which i enjoyed playing so incredibly. maybe it's my fault for going down the beaten path too much, and playing a boring run, but in my vision for how this game would progress, after the first term there would be a potential for a second where i would play on further. i know this would be hard and time consuming to implement, as the number of possibilities that are available increases exponentially with added length to the game, but it's what i expected somehow. the game clearly seems to be pointing the player towards a replay, prompting you to try a different strategy or even to improve on your previous statistics, but with it taking so long to progress through one term (15 hours for my first try, though of course this would go down with a second run as i wouldn't read every single thing possible) i don't feel very enticed to do so. nonetheless, i thoroughly enjoyed the game and recommend it to all.
