Challenging and fun to learn all the bosses even on normal difficulty, this is great deck building with jrpg-esque battles, pacing, etc.

Looking forward to more even content as EA progresses, but have put in many hours already as the system is solid and the game makes multiple playthroughs enjoyable. Haven't played the 43 hours it shows, lots of paused/idle time, but still like 15 in the few days I've had it.

Hades is great to play, over and over. The gameplay is tight and enjoyable, and there is a nice mix of variation and commonality between runs. Persistent unlocks are just good enough to keep you wanting to go back for one more, bigger, tougher run!

Post-apocalyptic prophet / leader is a fun setting, and this is a good take on Slay the Spire.

Colorful open world with great, smooth gunplay.

Edit: Looking at other reviews, I see some negatives for people that enjoyed the game but literally just play through the main story missions and are upset the game finishes quickly -- if you enjoy the game, explore all the areas in the map and enjoy the side stories.

The main story isn't the only nice part of the game, and its not an rpg where you only force yourself to do boring side quests to level up.

controls super awkward, co-op partner doesnt have same controls, had to restart game + tutorial multiple times due to bugs (controller reconnecting, some door inexplicably not opening)

It was just annoying, you die instantly and it feels like you are just fighting the controls, because things you have to use all the time are all over the bumpers / triggers etc

Really enjoying the game, draft mode is free and that was the part I wanted most to play most. I like dota characters and the card game really offers something different in that hero units are needed to cast spells. This means rather than a fixed mana curve like hs or a random system like MTG, you can deny the enemy or secure your own ability to play cards by tailoring your deck to kill their heroes or keep yours alive.

The whole lanes thing really doesn't take that long to get used to and choosing which to deploy in really opens up a lot of options for come backs and to fake people out.

Anyone, as someone that likes dota and card games, maybe I was doomed/destined to like this game. Still, it makes me happy -- I had sold my initial rare cards for 5$, since I just wanted to play draft and I really didn't think I'd bother with constructed. It's a really nice game if you have a discord group or others that are playing with it, due to their easy self run tourney system... but if you don't you might get bored, since things like chat or emotes to the enemy aren't there yet and the skill tracking is all behind the scenes.

They're calling this a "social deception" game -- like Mafia which I had watched on some streaming events. The game's all multiplayer and all about trust and calculated risk. Even if you aren't an elite multiplayer gamer, as long as you can type and either see through BS or spin BS of your own, you can have fun with this game. Player base is large enough that games are quickly found and it's also aggressively policing abusive players. I got this game a week ago but have been really addicted and never had an angry or bad experience so far.

For the game itself -- Generally you have 16 players, 2 starting as an evil faction that always knows who they are and want to kill or take over the good guys, 8-10 on a good faction that start out clueless, with the remainder being neutral with different goals.

There's 2 phases of the game, during the night a lot of action happens -- people get killed, people change factions, people spy on each other. During the day everyone can talk about what happened, and if they choose they can put anyone else up for an execution vote... if enough join in, there is a trial where the person explains themself and finally everyone votes again whether to kill them or not.

There's different good roles that can you can start with, and each of the 2 evil factions have variations of the good classes. For neutrals, they have 6 roles with powers that depend on their objectives.

Some roles have killing powers, some can investigate and determine what type someone else is, there are communication classes that can talk to dead players or send anonymous/secret messages, and defensive classes that block many different things.

So the good side doesn't know who's who, but they want to gather lots of info with abilities and figure out how to share it... without revealing to the evil side whether they are good instead of neutral. If the good side can figure out the evils, then they can easily vote them off. The game is endless bluffing, literally everyone wants to be seen as allied with the good side, so you dealing in lies and liars from start to finish!

This archery game is challenging and actually builds up a sweat. It's also fine to play in small / standing room situations, lots of spinning, ducking and shooting.
