Very fun 3D Metroidvania. Movement is incredibly fun especially once you get all of the powerups. Can't recommend enough.

I only recommend if you absolutely loved the story of the past two games.

Zero Time Dilemma is certainly without its flaws and is by far the weakest entry in the Zero Escape series, but still has a lot of enjoyment to come out of it as it helps tie up most of the loose ends from the previous game.

Two amazing story-based experiences in one neat package.

Both 999 and VLR take place in an isolated area where you have to escape. To break free, you'll have to solve interactive escape rooms along with 8 other people who each have their own share of secrets. There are multiple routes and endings based on your decisions, and each answer opens up twice as many questions for a fun and enriching experience.

I can't recommend these games enough. They both have amazing stories and were super addicting to play through.

Loosely based on the late Harlan Ellison's 1967 short story of the same name, I Have No Mouth tells the story of a supercomputer named AM who has been torturing the only remaining humans left on Earth for 109 years. Wanting to torment them even further, AM allows his subjects to take part in a game where they must each come to face with their own flaws.

You play as five characters who each have their own troubled past, ranging from a suicidal truck driver to a former Nazi scientist. It is up to you to either overcome each character's flaws or otherwise prove to AM that you are unredeemable. If you continue to defy AM's expectations, you might just be able to end your torments once and for all.

This game is easily one of my favorite point-and-click adventures. Each character's scenario is enjoyable in their own way and the game is not afraid to tackle mature themes. The music is amazing and the game is fully voiced; Harlan Ellison himself voices AM and does a phenomenal job doing so. There are also multiple endings depending on how you tackle the finale. A must-have for fans of the point-and-click genre.

Old school computer games such as Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle have always been a favorite of mine. It was the mixture of fun point-and-click mechanics with a nice humorous story that made these games classics. Sadly to say, The Wardrobe lacks any of the charm that made the aforementioned games memorable.

I’ll start with what I liked: the puzzles were fairly tricky and the music was decent. Now for what I hated...

The humor in The Wardrobe is really dated and would probably only be funny to a 10 year old in 2009. Some examples of the jokes in this game include:

  • A stoner guy who only says “I like [noun] DURR HURR”
  • Lame modern day references such as “be sure to update your relationship status on facebook” (yes that is an actual quote in the game)
  • The main character constantly breaking the fourth wall in ways that have been done better in just about every other game.
  • Edgy attempts at trying to be funny (Johnny Bravo ran out of the room NAKED after having SEX!?!?!? HAHAHA SO FUNNY! xD xD xD)

Needless to say, I played through this game with a straight face and did not get a single chuckle.

The main character is extremely unlikable, since all he does is insult you over every small thing you attempt do (even if it seems fairly logical).

The story is nonsensical and there is nothing to hold your interest throughout the game. I stopped caring about halfway through and had to force myself to complete it. The ending is also really weak.

Your walk speed is laughably slow which makes the game even more of a drag to complete.

The Wardrobe also contains a crap ton of pop culture references that are blatantly spread out everywhere. Walk into an area and you’ll spot at least 7 pop culture references shoved right in front of your face. They aren't presented in a clever and subtle fashion; the game literally just calls them for what they really are (Mandrakes, Wreck-It Ralph, Morpheus from The Matrix, etc.). The constant forced references gives off a strong ‘how do you do fellow kids’ vibe and further shows that this game lacks any originality.

If this game is dirt cheap then you could find a tiny bit of enjoyment in trying to solve the puzzles. For a fun and enjoyable point-and-click title with a good story and actual humor, look elsewhere.

Containing 12 games from the Street Fighter series, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection arrives onto Steam for all of your Super Turbo and 3rd Strike needs. This collection includes: 5 games from the SFII series, (World Warrior, Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, SSFII, and SSFII Turbo), the 3 Alpha games (Alpha 1, 2, and 3), the 3 SFIII games (New Generation, 2nd Impact, and 3rd Strike), and the very first Street Fighter.

Pros:
  • All of these games are a blast to play through in their own way. The very first Street Fighter game is admittingly pretty mediocre, though it's nice to at least see how the series kicked off.
  • Online play for SFII: Hyper Fighting, SSFII Turbo, SFA3, and 3rd Strike is good for the most part.
  • Local play is available for all of the 12 games, as well as training mode for the 4 games that have online.
  • Each game still has their respective arcade codes, meaning you can play as Akuma in Super Turbo.
  • Screen options and save states for each arcade mode.
  • The museum section contains early sketches of the games and character bios, which is a nice little bonus.

Cons:
  • Since these are ports of the arcade versions, they lack a lot of the features that other ports and collections of these games had (most notably the console exclusive characters in Alpha 3).
  • I've had the game crash multiple times when pausing in arcade mode.
  • Online play for Alpha 2 would've been nice.
  • Akuma is not banned in Super Turbo ranked matches.

If you have never had the chance to play these games then it is worth getting this collection. However, if you have another collection sitting around then there isn't much to see here aside from the online. I would recommend it whenever it's on sale.

A very enjoyable puzzle game that's easy to get into and is very relaxing to play. This game features a ton of built-in puzzles to complete as well as additional modes to amp up the challenge. You can also create your own puzzles and even download others from the Steam workshop. Highly recommend especially if you love puzzle games and are looking for a game to relax with.

Easily one of the best puzzle games on PC, and without a doubt the best version of Tetris on Steam. Puyo Puyo Tetris combines the two titular puzzle games into one along with some fun spins on them.

Pros

+ Tetris and Puyo Puyo are a blast to play.
+ Adding to the above point, this game is basically two puzzle games in one with extras.
+ Cute story with challenges in each level.
+ Colorful visuals.
+ Lots of game modes ranging from regular Tetris/Puyo to fun twists on both puzzles.
+ Tons of ways to customize the music/visuals.
+ Up to 4 people can play against each other locally or online.

Cons

- Music loops are really awkward since the songs just end abruptly and replay.
- Most of the time when an error happens online, I have to alt-F4 out of the game since it would just keep me in the disconnected game.

This game is very addicting and made even better with friends. A must have for puzzle fans.

A hilarious point and click adventure game that received critical acclaim back in 1993. In Day of the Tentacle, you play as three teens who must work together through different time periods to thwart the plans of an evil tentacle. You'll do this by finding items and solving puzzles, all through humorous dialogue while enjoying the colorful cartoon visuals.

This remastered version allows you to switch between the original graphics and the updated visuals at the press of a button. There is also a developer commentary track as well as the ability to view old concept art. In addition to all of this, the original Maniac Mansion game is an unlockable, so you're basically getting two games for the price of one.

Everything about this game is a blast, as I genuinely can not think of any real downsides. Day of the Tentacle is a must play for fans of point and click games.
