Bought on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't feel any unreal 5 hiccups some people claim to be having and performance was rather smooth on my end. The game really does pop without having that generic unreal look that plagues some games. It's full beauty shots though that does start to vanish by the last stages and surprisingly for a modern release it came out mostly intact and untouched from it's 360/ps3 release including the girls. While it doesn't have it's artsyle from the original. People forget that Ninja gaiden 1/black and 2 were graphical and technical showcases for their times. This final/black version of the game is no exception in this regards. I can and will easily recommend it.

While not my favorite series. There's some good fun to be had here. The world is nice, and the robotic animals really carry the whole thing. As this is a remaster there isn't much to be said here. Some things look better, but In my case I tried it on a steam deck. At low or medium settings it would stay at 30fps with occasional dips thanks to some great optimization and fsr. I was surprised at this outcome, but It was nice to see. If you can "upgrade" for the 10$ then I don't see any reason as to why you shouldn't. For 50$ it's a hard sell. On the matter of the psn requirement. We're already a few games into this being the case. I don't understand why people are still complaining about it. It sucks sure, but many other popular games on steam ask the same. You do it for one game and You're logged into all of them without any extra user input.

I'm not one to review games. Especially on steam, but I find the negative reviews baffling. The core game is really fun and lives up to it's amazing name. I'm not much a multiplayer game enjoyer but I found myself have fun with this one. I was surprised at how fun the simple concept was. The dash attacking is what really kept me playing though. It's one of those that rewards learning it's mechanics. I personally don't mind the epic games network integration, but one has to wonder if the netcode issues come from the servers, or just where most of it's playerbase is at. Most of my games tend to against jp players. Here's hoping people let this game live moving forward, but even if it doesn't do well on steam there's the upcoming switch release which should really help. I find this to be an easy recommendation, and don't understand the negativity.
