I recommend because I enjoyed the challenge and had fun playing it. However, this game is not perfect and it is not for everyone.

The game starts rough. The initial levels are difficult, and it takes a while until you can get better weapons that greatly increase your offense. Afterwards, the game gets easier.

The graphics are busy, a lot of stuff happening on the screen. The first level is the worst, with red enemies on top of the red background: it's really hard to see what hit you. The other levels have better contrast.

The game feels like a 16-bit game. The palette reminds me of Sega Mega Drive, but the game has more effects than what was possible in that console. Still, it plays like a game from that era.

It also means this game has an amount of "jank". The gameplay isn't super smooth, but overall it's enjoyable enough.

In summary, it's not perfect, it's not for everyone, but I enjoyed it enough that I can recommend it. It's a weak recommendation, though.

Great open-source puzzle-platformer game made with the Godot engine. I started playing it as a flatpak from FlatHub, and then came to Steam ready to pay for it. And then it's gratis on Steam. Well, I'd gladly pay to support the developers, this is a well made and polished game.

It's the kind of puzzle-platformer game that you have play over multiple days. There are dozens of levels, and sometimes you need a break, Coming back later, well rested and relaxed, can do wonders on your puzzle-solving abilities.

This is minesweeper, but you are walking instead of clicking, and there are some light action-ish elements.

If you know minesweeper, you will probably enjoy this.

If you don't understand minesweeper or aren't good playing it; then you will either hate this game, or this game will teach you to be a good minesweeper player after several trials and mistakes.

The music is good, the visuals are gorgeous. I enjoyed my time playing it.

Plays well with a gamepad, plays great on the Steam Deck.

---

The achievements are a mixed bag: some are natural and okay. But others require playing/solving 15 levels for each day of the week. That sounds a bit like a grind, but not terrible. There is one achievement that requires playing the whole game twice (because hard mode is unlocked after beating the game once). There is one or two missable achievements (collect all hearts in a single playthrough; collect all money on the last level). Unfortunately, there is no level select. In conclusion, all achievements are doable, but some require spending quite some time. (Although, in comparison, I've seen way worse achievements on other games.)

Great platformer game. Great soundtrack, sound effects, and sense of humor. There were times I couldn't even continue playing due to how much I was laughing.

Can be player alone in single-player, but can also be played in two-player co-op. In fact, the developers coined the term "co-optional" when describing the game to TotalBiscuit.

When you're tired of the main campaign, you can play countless user levels from Steam Workshop. If you have friends around, you can also play up to 4-player versus maps.

Playing with a gamepad is highly recommended. The game has low system requirements, and will run fine on most computers. It also runs fine on the Steam Deck.

The controls are bad, the level design is bad.

There is such high horizontal acceleration and enough horizontal inertia that it is hard to move precisely. You will bump into the spikes, or miss the platforms. The spikes have rectangular hitboxes, despite their triangular shape.

The jump has a fixed height. Wall-jumping, however, has a variable horizontal movement depending on how long you hold the jump button. It feels weird.

Gamepad isn't properly supported. The d-pad works in the menus but not in-game; the analog stick works in-game but not on the menu. The start/select buttons don't bring the menu while in-game. And on the second time I launched it, the gamepad stopped working. Thankfully I could just use a community layout for Steam Input.

The levels are bad. Maze-like with little room for error. I gave up after level 16 out of 30. All the time I was wishing I was playing a better game such as Mega Man X or Super Meat Boy.

This game has such stupid crude childish sense of humor... And I was still enjoying it.

The idea sounds simple: prepare traps to your neighbor, to make his life terrible. And for the most time the gameplay is pretty simple and straightforward. However, there are some traps that can only be activated under certain conditions, which adds a little bit of challenge and variety to the game.

The game isn't perfect. There are a few traps that are obtuse or require precise pixel-hunting. Fortunately, those annoyances are very few and far between.

The game is also quite forgiving. You can be caught up to two times before you fail a level. You have to successfully apply most traps on each level, but the game allows you to skip one or two traps per level. There is an in-game per-level scoring system, but the score is mostly useless. The achievements are tied to in-game progression, and they all can be achieved by all players.

The game plays fine on the Steam Deck, and it plays fine either with a gamepad or with a mouse. (But you cannot switch the input method afterwards; you have to restart the game for that.)

Is this a masterpiece? No, it's just a simple-ish but mostly well executed enjoyable game, and that's good enough.

No checkpoints.
Terrible camera.
Struggles to run on the Steam Deck (30~40fps).

For a precision platformer requiring dodging many enemies and even dodging off-screen attacks, having bad camera and low framerate makes the game even more difficult and more frustrating than it already is.

Super Mario 64 creators tweaked the controls many times until the character was fun to control. Well, this isn't the case here.

Bottom line... This isn't a terrible game. We can see there was some effort to make something interesting. Unfortunately, it falls short, certainly because tweaking an optimizing the game would go beyond the marketing budget this game had. If you have a powerful computer, or if you can tolerate the low and inconsistent framerate, you might enjoy playing this game once or twice.

This is a review from the point-of-view of someone who doesn't play horror games, but still enjoys a good "game".

In this game, you navigate a very dark environment. Navigation isn't much difficult, and item boxes are always lit and very visible; but it can be hard to spot hiding places. But that's still okay.

The main mechanic is to collect ingredients (one at a time) to bring back to the oven, to then bake a pie (each one requiring five ingredients), to then use the pie against the monster. That still sounds like an interesting idea.

However, the execution of that idea (as well as many other design decisions) are not okay:

- The music is too loud compared to the sound effects. Thankfully, in the options screen there are separate sliders for music and sound.
- There are many ambient noises and random noises. They are distracting and serve no purpose.
- The monster itself? It makes no noise. It is mostly silent. You can't hear its footsteps, its breathing, its voice, or anything. You will never know where the monster is.
- When the monster sees you, it's a loud high-pitched noise and it runs towards you very quickly. It's essentially a jump-scare game-over.
- Since there is no noise while the monster is walking or nearby, there is no tension buildup. There is no fear.
- The monster respawns randomly from one of the slimy doors, and walks randomly from room to room until another slimy door. There is no predictability, so you will never know where the monster is, or where it will come from. (This isn't bad by itself, but it is bad when combined with the other decisions.)
- Only one kind of pie is effective against each monster, and you first have to see the monster nearby (without being spotted) to have the game tell you at the top-left corner what pie is effective. And this is randomized after each restart.
- When you finally bake the pie and throw it, very likely you will miss and hit a wall instead. Which means you just wasted five ingredients.
- When you finally hit the monster with the right pie, you observe the healthbar decreased by only 20% or so.
- The game only auto-saves every 5 minutes, and there is no manual save.

All of this together means you have to pick up at least 25 ingredients, which means at least 25 trips to the oven and back, all while avoiding a silent monster that will be at a random location and will cause a game over if it sees you. That's not fun. Oh, and there are two or three additional monsters. Picking up 100 ingredients isn't fun, it's a chore.

I have several ideas to make the game more enjoyable:

+ Make the monster noisy. Make it growl, make the footsteps loud, make it breath, make it moan. And make the sound design directional.
+ Decrease the amount of pies required to defeat a monster. Let it be a one-pie-KO for a new "easy" mode, and maybe two pies for normal mode.
+ Provide a map of the place. Maybe only in easy mode. It can be a static map scribbled down by hand and left as a piece of paper somewhere.
+ I have two hands, I can carry two items at once. The game should allow me to carry two ingredients. Even if that would mean I won't be able to use the flashlight.

In the end, I found the game boring and repetitive. Too hard without providing the player with enough senses to outsmart the monster.

There were parts of Half-Life 2 that were scary, where I felt the tension. This game, however, was a chore and I only felt bored.

This is a short puzzle-platformer, but with a simple game mechanic that will make you scratch your head on certain levels.

It only has three downsides:

1. It's overly dark, making it hard to see.
2. Partial gamepad support. A few in-game prompts still require the keyboard (such as Q to quit, Shift or Enter to overwrite save).
3. The speedrun achievement has a very tight time limit, with little room for errors.

These are minor setbacks, and the game is still very enjoyable. (If you like puzzle-platformers.)

Simple idea, great puzzle!

It's a platformer game (with gravity), where each character is a chess piece and can only move according to the valid chess moves. All your pieces must cooperate to overcome the level design and to reach the single opposing piece. It's great for people like me, who know the chess rules, but not the actual chess strategy.
