Prior to playing Trigger Happy Havoc, I had very little experience with the Danganronpa franchise. I only heard vague things about this series and after playing the first game, I gotta say that I am invested in this universe. Almost everything about this game is perfect.

The story follows 15 students who are placed in a death game with the opportunity to escape being the main prize. However, instead of killing each other at the same time, a student must commit the murder and hide their actions while the others must investigate and figure out what happened. Once they gather enough evidence, the class is put into a trial that places the lives of all students at risk. Besides that basic summary, there are various mysteries and events to piece together.

On par with the story, the characters have way more to them than you think. While some characters fill basic roles (I.E The Nerd, the pretty girl, etc.), the rest of them actually have layers to them. You discover that some characters value friendship and trust. Meanwhile, others simply want to survive and will do anything to achieve that. So basically, the cast is diverse in terms of personality, design and writing.

The gameplay is a fun mix between a high school simulator and a detective styled game like Ace Attorney. Admittedly, the class trials can become a little overwhelming with how many features and gimmicks it throws at you, but I can guarantee you that if you take the time to learn the mechanics and understand the system, then you should be fine. Outside of the detective work, you can talk to other students in your spare time and get to know them more. Hell, there's a game mode that allows you to do just that. My only issue with the gameplay is that certain trials can go on for way too long. A normal trial could go on for an hour to around two and a half hours. So yeah, unless you have way too much spare time on your hands, don't try and play these sections under a strict time limit.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time with this game. I can't wait to pick up the sequels and become weaboo trash.

A charming, unique platformer that harkins back to the good old days when Collect-a-thon platformers like Banjo Kazooie rained supreme.

With a simple, but effective story, A Hat in Time gave me that sense of adventure that I envy in other platformers like the previously mentioned Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario Odyssey. The vast settings makes each visit to a new planet that much more enthralling, with collectibles and secrets to be found, with new acts and challenges to go back and complete once you move on to the next world.

Gameplay is standard, you collect hour glasses, explore the level, and go through platforming elements with your abilities; old and new. With the variety in levels, it makes each segment that much fun to progress, with some elements of stealth and lots of objectives that require obtaining keys, codes, or completing simple tasks in order to nab that next hour glass to progress.

The presentation is wrapped up in this cutesy, comedic art style that feels like a mix between Banjo Kazooie's self aware humor, Wind Waker's cell shaded art style, with hints of Super Mario to be found as well. As a game that was originally Kickstarted, It's a game that's not only easy on the eyes, but pleasing to look at too. The performances also have this cartoony, Looney Tunes-esque style to them. With each character feeling outlandish and silly, it further adds to the game's charm.

Aside from some small bugs and one crash, I would say that my experience with A Hat in Time so far was smooth as butter. The game ran perfectly at 1080p, 60fps with no dips whatsoever. Final verdict, If you love platformers and are currently looking for something to scratch that adventurous itch, get A Hat in Time, you will not regret it.

South Park: The Stick of Truth has to be one of the funniest games that I've played in a long time. As a fan of the show, I adore all of the little details and references in the town of South Park.

As a fan of the original series, I can easily say that RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a must buy for fans of the series.
