This is made by Ubisoft so I warn against buying it because who knows they might decide to delete this from your library one day if they feel like it since we are supposed to "get comfortable with not owning" our games

Despite people hating on WRATH I'll give a somewhat balanced review. yes the game has many flaws and I was annoyed and frustrated at times like you don't have the ability to save the game manually you only have the Auto Save, A "shrine" that restores your health and creates a checkpoint and a soul tether that works like an item and allows you to save the game at any point in time. Add to this the bad level design for some maps and how they keep dragging one level beyond a tolerable limit.

I sometimes even rage quit because of how annoyed I felt however then there are some positives too. I like the enemy variety (most of them anyway) and the weapons we are given. Then we have the stunning visuals and effects that add life to the game. Story is almost non-existent and I didn't even care for it so it doesn't feel like you're missing out on anything. Then we have the replay value which apart from achievement hunting isn't there I'm not compelled to play this game again however for my first playthrough it was an ok experience.

Overall Rating; 6/10
It's not the best but not the worst either.

It didn't cost a lot and was an hour of fun. Visually impressive, balanced guns and enemies. Dope soundtrack. Yeah easy recommendation.

I like the game for the first few campaigns but then it gets extremely boring and repetitive. Not just that the level design in the latter half is also poor. Couple that with lack of support for modern resolutions its an easy no.

I saw many Half-Life content creators covering this mod before and honestly it didn't grab my attention. But from the moment I first hit "Play" I was hooked. The attention to detail, the fine tuned gameplay and mechanics, the sound effects and soundtracks (which are original by the way) and also the unique weapons (none of the weapons apart from the glock have been recycled). The story is although a bit lacking but still nothing terrible, the events of the game take place at the same time as Half-Life's. Voice acting is another department which could have done better, it's not that the voice actors are terrible but they could have done a bit better and not come off as robotic and repetitive. Lastly we get to visit Xen in this mod and it is a huge part of the story and let me just say the developer nailed it. The Xen of this mod is infinitely better than the Xen in Half-Life 1. Overall a really good experience and definitely recommended and worth your time.

It's obvious this game draws inspiration from classics like Blood and Duke 3D but it still really didn't appeal much to me however for the price tag it was still a fine experience nonetheless

I can understand why it appealed to players more than 20 years ago but as someone who has played Splinter Cell for the first time in 2024 I don't get the hype behind this game. The control scheme is outdated the gameplay mechanics are terrible. The story is super cringe (Russia/China/Georgia bad America good). It was a frustrating experience to play this game from start to finish because of all the terrible controls and input lag. I cannot recommend this game to anyone. Please avoid, Splinter cell has aged terribly.

Overall Rating: 2/10

EDIT: Some fanboy is mad I gave his favorite game a negative review it's called opinion not a d!*k don't take it so hard

I went into cultic with a lot of expectations and not only did the developer meet my expectations he FAR EXCEEDED THEM. It is hard to believe such an amazing work of art is a single person's work. Great level design, Great art style (Old School low poly aesthetic), Satisfying weapons with visceral feedback, Ambient sound design and music is also top notch and last but not least the game is BUG FREE which these days usually isn't the case. You can feel the developer put everything he had in this game and the end result is nothing short of perfect.

Now to address the things most people assume about Cultic before playing. Is it like Blood? Not at all it has more inspiration from Resident Evil than blood. In Blood you're a one man army but in cultic you'll be hammered real good if you're not careful. You'll have to use tactics and switch weapons carefully to attack every foe because there are lots of unique enemy npcs in this game with their own weaknesses, But don't worry Cultic has a weapon wheel selection mechanic which means you can switch weapons very easily. Lastly the story should be an obvious answer, It revolves around us investigating a cult then one thing leads to another and we go down a rabbit hole that's all I can say without spoiling anything.

Now for the verdict

Is it worth it?
10/10 Absolutely worth every cent

Great expansion pack but cringe "freedumb and democrazy" propaganda which is tolerable since it's the same ghost recon game
