Guys, this one is a lengthy one from the heart, This game touched me.
I am not one to cry often, I very rarely cry unless its real ♥♥♥♥ thats happening to the real me, my eye's didn't even water when I read Old Yeller or when I watched Forest Gump (not to into sad media, I really have no idea what inspired me to play this game in the first place but I am glad that I did). The characters, the world, the story in this game were so well done that I was immersed and boy was it an emotional meat grinder (I cried several times while playing and pretty much cried myself to sleep the night I finished episode 5). I am someone who has dealt with depression in the past and a few of the things that happened in the game have happened to me, or to people close to me (I am not saying what as a lot of that is personal), this game was almost like therapy though, I actually relived a few moments of my life playing this game and I learned to accept them better. The game forced me to think a bit about myself and I have come to accept myself a little more after playing.

I am a lot like Max, kinda an outsider in my college, an introvert (INFP personality type), and I like to keep to myself and keep few, but very close friends. I appreciated how Max's character took the time to stop and look at the world around her as I am in the habit of doing myself (I am inspired to get me one of those instant cameras, it is a wonder that I have not already), the developers really went all out with the world that they crafted, there is detail in everything, a level of detail that you wont find in many other games (which is kinda fitting seeing as Max is a photographer and taking photos with a good eye is one of the many themes in this game), plus the art style is very fitting (I really hate photo realism in games, its kinda dull in my opinion, its why I like games like Team Fortress 2 and the Dishonored series).

The soundtrack in this game was pretty awesome (My iphone is full of many of these songs and I recognized a good number of them), Syd Matters is a talented artist and I would recommend giving his work a listen. The voice acting is great as well, all of this helps with the immersion and character building that the game does so well.

One of the biggest (or the biggest overall) elements in the game is choice and how it matters later and how you can manipulate time to make some unique decisions. This element alone is what made the game feel very fresh and original (which kinda gave it a place in my heart right beside Portal). I kinda admit that I abused this power when it was given to me (I watched Alyssa get smacked in the back of the head by a football multiple times before I helped her), Then I remembered my favorite childhood superhero and lived by the "With great power comes great responsibility" motto.

This has probably been the best drama game I have ever played and definitely deserves the "I am not Crying there is something in my eye" Steam award (which would be really Hella awesome). I know this review is probably going to sink into oblivion, but If you took the time to read this, then It will have been worth writing. This is a game (and I almost feel like game is not the proper way to describe it) that has given me respect for Dontnod. I highly recommend that you play Life is Strange if you haven't (I mean the first episode is free now), and I hope you get something good from this experience as I have. Very well crafted mod, liked the story, The combate was difficult but never too difficult and kept you on your feet.

This is a really optimized game, I am managing low to medium settings on a gt740m on my laptop. Really good game too, just got out of the vault, I'll update this once I have had a taste of the gameplay.

I liked this game. It was fun and sort of mine ratty. I just liked to build awesome structures.

NOW THIS GAME IS DEAD. It's not like one of those games where poeple just lost interest. No the developers just dropped it. They decided the have more important games to work on and could not be bothered to work on patterns anymore. While they could have just halted development for a while and resumed some time later or put together a final version to give us some closure. But no, that was too hard, they decided to remove this game from steam. They killed their game and left the remains to rot. Honestly if like a refund.

first day I played this game I was flipped off by a completely stationary useless team mate who built a giant fist with the middle finger protruding from it. I fell in love with this game instantly after that.

If Arkane made a game similar to Skyrim, I would buy it in a heartbeat, no! not that heart that Corvo Carries around, that thing creeps me out.

This game should be an example to other game developers. Attention other developers: when making video games, keep in mind that not doing the same thing over and over makes you consumers make the happy face (and you get money thrown at you).

In my opinion the greatest game of all time and a part of the greatest game series of all time. A must play

EDIT: It may have lost the Test of Time Award to Skyrim (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ really? I like Skyrim but I don't think it was qualified for that award), but there is hope for the Labor of love Award!

One of the best games I have ever played, I have nominated this game for the "Stood the test of time" award, There are not many multiplayer games out there that survive as long s Team Fortress 2 has. Despite recent underwhelming updates (though I am glad the game is being updated at all, after all its release was back in 2007), I belive this game has many more years left in it. Overall its a good game, that I highly recommend.

If you are reading this review to determine whether or not you should get it, you might want to note a couple of things: It is a free to play game (in that there is no money to risk in trying the game out to see if you like it), there are no pay-to-win elements and you can get pretty much any weapon unlock in the game just by playing the game. The game has been out for a while now and people have become very good at playing the game (I put in 1,700 hours and I am still not that great) over the years, as such it is a bit harder for new players to get into the game now than it was years ago, though with a little determination, you'll be fine. Last thing to note if you are trying the game for the first time, there are many many many youtube videos, reddit posts, forums, training maps, and much more to help you learn how to play the game, I would recommend a few offline matches before you get into a server with real people, there is a lot of content in this game and its best to get familiar with it, or you might get frustrated when somehting happens that you dont understand (Its TF2 there is a lot of crazy stuff in this game). If you are new and reading this, I hope I helped, have fun!

My favorite game in the half life series. If you haven't played it then why are you still here? Go get it. Its a bit old, but it still lives up to the expectations a game should meet, in fact the Half Life games helped set those expectations. Very good game.
