This game is so charming and amazing. It's strongest suit is its art style and the amount of character packed into every nook and cranny - interacting with each of the cast was always fun, and the amount of work put into everything alone makes the game worth it. It took me a little less than 12 hours to beat (which I did in one sitting...), and I was able to max out romance and friendship with a few of the characters that I liked (no spoilers!).

A couple of reviews have made mention of struggling with the competitions and balancing building rep with characters with preparing. In all honesty, I felt most of the game was kind of easy, with the only exception being the final competition (and even then, it was still kind of a blowout). I had plenty of time to spend time with the other characters, and even had a couple instances where I did nothing but hang out with them for a few days in a row. If you are struggling, the biggest tip I can give is to always use Baptiste and his investments, and then immediately turning those resources into Quinn. It makes everything so much easier, and I think I only did maybe 5 adventures total outside of that.

I highly recommend this game. It's full of so much charm, and my literal only critique is that I wish there was more (or at least more interactions after you had maxed out rep with people (saffronmybeloved)). :)

My only complaint is that I wish there was more. The characterization is stellar, the dynamic between Kay and Yu is so well done, and after playing I just want more of them. I want to see more about the universe, where they came from, where they'll go. I just want more of it.

Are you a current or were recently a current player? This game is really good. The end game is where it's at.

Are you a new or prospective player? This game sucks. It's, like, atrocious to get into. The new player support is very bad, and the story is confusing without years of retrospect or a willingness to spend many hours watching lore videos (or having a friend lecture you on it). The game's fun factor and interesting content are backloaded into the end game, meaning that getting into Destiny 2 is like consigning yourself to an excess of hours of manual labor before you get to play the super enjoyable parts. But if you do get to the fun parts and you can deal with the semi-annual content droughts, it's pretty good.

It's got a certain pull to it. Well-made, polished, and full of life.

Possibly the best game Ubisoft has ever made. While it has a short and simple story, it entertained me for hours and still does, even after 100% completion. People have overlooked this (almost) masterpiece, and it astounds me. A really low price for a game without thousands of DLC's and simple gameplay in a peaceful world that still puts you on edge as you get bolder and bolder, without tons of combat and action. In short, if you don't have this, get it. NOW.
