Wow. That was actually an incredible gaming experience.

Truth be told I expected very little out of this game. It felt polished out of the gate, the music and sounds was interesting, the controls were fairly straight forward, the girls were all adorable and had interesting personalities. That and all the animated scenes had already blown any and all of my expectations out of the water. And I had yet to get into the game at all at that point.

There's everything in this game: A pseudo-stock market, adorable girls, enjoyable gameplay that combines match 3 and abilities. I can't express how much better that game got after I understood how the Mana mechanic worked. I had any and all characters on a permanent turn counter, basically making myself invincible, save for a few mistakes and misplays. Isekai Quests has no right or reason to be such a fun, well thought out, well created game—but here it is, as one of the best indie games I've played in a while.

The game itself is wonderfully balanced and nuanced. The community isn't too terrible although the stereotype does exist for a reason. If you're new, I definitely recommend joining and learning this dynamic FPS, it's a really fun game that has a high skill-cap.

This game is fun and nostalgic.

Fun, simple, and high skill capped, Quake Champions brings the fast-paced action packed FPS that gmaers know and love and gives it a new look. Every map, every model, and every character has been either redesigned with a new look or is a completely fresh addition to the game.

Although I personally don't like lootboxes, but since these are only for appearances and does not affect the game whatsoever I'll let them slide. I'm not too much of a fan of having to spend hundreds of hours to unlock a single character but I understand the reasoning. There should be a easier way to obtain character rather than just grinding game after game. But, I digress.

The game itself is well enough balanced and is very much like unreal tournament in it's weaponry and items. If you played the old quake you may be against some of the changes made in this game but altogether it's a well built game that is fun to play! The game doesn't feel broken with one gun modification or character strictly better than others and each map has been strategically balanced to ensure that it is fair and enjoyable to play. The characters are each unique and have interesting kits that add to the game rather than dictating the flow of the game, which is good, and each of them has a unique personality - making them much more memorable than some default character.

Ignore the bad reviews here and hop on in! This game deserves some more love and you should definitely try it out if you have the chance!
