Having seen all of the bosses, this game is a major improvement over the first game in almost every way IMO. And the first game was fantastic, so....ya.
Frinos is getting to see all kinds of crazy ♥♥♥♥.

Edit: beat the game (so far) after 15 hours, there's plenty more to do, though.

Fun and addictive twist on the genre.
For me, the biggest downfall of this game is the fact you always have to rush to the exit.
You can never hover up all of the dropped xp at the end, feel really powerful.
Hoping they'll add endless mode or something. Or at least auto-loot all XP when you extract.

To me Death Must Die is the best game of the genre already, but this is up there.

Best game of the genre bar none IMO.
Worth many times its tiny price tag.
Can't wait to see what more is in store!

I really didn't care for the gameplay loop. Classes and gameplay as such felt good. Keeping an eye on.

Core gameplay is pretty good, the unlockables are presented awfully and progression is incredibly unappealing. Not sure I'll even revisit the game.

I HATE open world games but even after this little playtime I'm already certain that this is one of the best games I've ever played.

Runs incredibly well for the visuals (60 fps on high settings with occasional drops to 50 on my laptop with i7-10750H CPU, 16 GB of RAM, RTX 2070), gameplay and exploration is fantastic, world design is breathtaking.

Please add literally 500 DLCs.

Overall: if you enjoyed ESO and BDO, you'll likely enjoy this. If you've played neither, I'd rate it 7/10.

+ Varied, atmospheric biomes
+ Combat
+ Gathering (rewarding, not as grindy as in Black Desert)
+ Processing: due to high yield when gathering, you get to process a lot and there are bonuses granting additional "crafts"
+ Weapon variety offering sometimes crassly different gameplay

- Performance is underwhelming (from high to low settings is a difference of 10-15 FPS, in fact I experience better/equal performance in most zones by using high settings)
- Visibility: there are a lot of effects and events that can change lighting, the vast majority of which are way too dark. Had to crank the brightness up.
- Weaver's Fen is "Volumetric Fog: The Biome", playing in this zone comes with a permanent handicap of -10 FPS
- Crafting: most of the crafting professions are not fun imo. I'm taking it slow and focusing on leveling my gathering as much as progressing MSQ and I have not been able to craft a single item worth using yet after nearly 40 hours of play. Arcana is pretty bad.
- Cooking reminds me a lot of LOTRO, where we were all waiting to run a dungeon. For 5 hours. Because our friend who did the cooking had to go to some farm to get carrots so he could make food for us. You can either farm every vegetable you come across and still have to buy at least 1-2 ingredients off the trading post to be able to cook anything, or you just don't level cooking. Maybe it's a profession you're only meant to level up when you're level 60, but it's a complete pain. Also you don't unlock a general hp healing food after the first one for way too long and have to use stat foods that take like 6 different ingredients for a good while. To the people I bought around 40 lemons for 300 gold from: you're welcome.
- No transmogging (which really sucks, I've been wearing a low tier clown-mog for 40 levels and the cash shop skins are trash)

~ Bugs: Tons of small bugs, it's alright. Bugged mining nodes are super frustrating.
~ Hitting the Azeroth...er, Azoth cap constantly, wasted at least a full cap worth of it already despite constantly crafting as much as I can and fast travelling everywhere (even the town I could recall to- and currently I fast travel to all towns once a day for the event). It's a mechanic that makes me want to not play the game, great idea.
~ The music is good, but I had to turn all other sounds down and boost quiet sounds to even hear it at all most of the time. This of course boosted sound effects and voices as well, so turn those down further. I think I've reached a point now where I can hear the music sometimes and still not be deafened by someone shouting gibberish.
~ One of the first quests I got was for buying a house, which of course is astronomically expensive at that point. Why you would put that quest so early is beyond me.
~ Difficulty scaling: Made it to level 29 without dying and then I did a faction quest, which asked me to kill a named mob. The mob (1 level below my own) did around 4 times as much damage to me as a cloth/leather build as any other mob before or since (I think I died in 3 swings), managed to kill it by doing some sweaty MLG gaming. Afterwards I saw on YT how a plate user was easily facetanking it with a GS and left-click. Feels good.

As I said in the beginning, it's pretty good but you need some frustration tolerance.

+ Metal AF
+ Good savepoints
+ Exploration
+ Theme, music, graphics
- Voice acting sometimes

Probably my favourite Metroidvania.
